The incumbent will act as a quality champion and train the team members to create high performance and secure systems, test unhappy paths and edge cases in performance\/security testing to create a highly resilient system, take advantage of the combination of automated\/manual testing to efficiently cover system functionality without compromising quality and be comfortable working in a constantly changing environment and is fully dedicated to the principle of &#8220;automating everything&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer Lead<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Gaborone, South East, Botswana<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> Quality Assurance Engineer Lead<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nEnsure that all functions developed by the team are tested\u200b<br \/>\nCombine automated\/manual testing to efficiently cover system functionality without compromising quality\u200b<br \/>\nProvide the team with detailed information about any defects found and help the Agile Coach and PO prioritize the backlog\u200b<br \/>\nStrives to automate and maintain comprehensive test sets with a continuous improvement mentality\u200b<br \/>\nWork with IT and operations to run tests in SIT and production environments after implementation to ensure quality\u200b<br \/>\nKnowing the product vision and working closely with designers and the PO to translate their vision into test cases\u200b<br \/>\nPartners with development teams to identify key risk areas in new solutions\u200b<br \/>\nKeeps up to date with best practices and industry standards in testing\u200b<br \/>\nActively participate in scrum ceremonies as needed to provide clarification and resolve issues with the team<br \/>\nEnsure consistent reporting (Bugs, Automation, Stories) across the different squads<br \/>\nProvide QA sign-off for sprint completion &#8211; Definition of Done<br \/>\nValidate sprint test activity plan<br \/>\nImplement productivity assets to improve team testing and automation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\nStrong understanding of agile methodologies<br \/>\nStrong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align the organization in decisions\u200b<br \/>\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to process complex information quickly and present it clearly and simply\u200b<br \/>\nUse team collaboration to efficiently create innovative solutions\u200b<br \/>\nPassionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging \/ disruptive technologies\u200b<br \/>\nBelieves in the culture of transparency and trust \u200b<br \/>\nOpen to learning new ideas\u200b<br \/>\nTalent for thinking about edge cases and unhappy paths for software solutions<br \/>\nExperience with automated testing processes, technologies and methodologies for both front and back end\u200b<br \/>\nExperience applying tests on both Black Box and Grey Box for mobile applications for both iOS and Android devices\u200b<br \/>\nExperience validating acceptance of user stories against the development team&#8217;s deliverables.
