Milpark Education is a registered Private Higher Education Institution offering business management education that focuses on the areas of Management and Leadership, Commerce, Financial Planning and Insurance, and Banking across South Africa and in other parts of Africa.<\/p>\n
Milpark offers full-time, part-time, distance learning and online learning Higher Education (HE) and Further Education and Training (FET) qualifications, as well as career-focused short courses. \nThe Programme Manager has to be in touch with the structure of the programme, ensure the delivery complies with the quality requirements and manage the various stakeholders and processes.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Admit students onto a qualification\/programme in line with the specific admission and selection criteria
\n\u2022Administer the RPL policy for a specific qualification
\n\u2022Process internal subject exemptions (where applicable)
\n\u2022Approve all student registrations in line with at risk policy and rules of progression
\n\u2022Issue subject exemption letters based on decision by relevant HOD<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Deal with student\/client\/online lecturer queries and take full responsibility for resolving the queries
\n\u2022Ensure that student complaints\/concerns are channelled to the correct department and solved to the student\u2019s satisfaction
\n\u2022Deal with special academic requests and channel to the Academic Committee where relevant
\n\u2022Conduct programme specific student surveys and focus groups, in coordination with the Tuition committee; evaluate and action items\/manage action of items (including requesting student support)
\n\u2022Build good relationships and liaise with internal departments, part-time academics, and corporate clients of Milpark<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Assist the lecturers and academic team in meeting deliverables
\n\u2022Assist in the training of contractors
\n\u2022Monitor throughput and pass rates on DLO qualifications
\n\u2022Manage preparation of audits and accreditation requirements
\n\u2022Manage \u201cat risk\u201d students in line with Milpark\u2019s At Risk Policy (including counselling meetings, exclusion appeals, etc.)
\n\u2022Conduct module planning for students.
\n\u2022Manage student surveys and feedback in line with guidance and instruction from Tuition Committee.
\n\u2022Consider student feedback and action items as required.
\n\u2022Serve on relevant academic committees.
\n\u2022Consider medical requests for deferrals and extensions where AC involvement is not required.
\n\u2022Manage and maintain the general framework of myMilpark for allocated qualification(s). Provide general student support on myMilpark.
\n\u2022Manage general student communication on the qualification.
\n\u2022Arrange and manage student induction sessions.
\n\u2022Compile and submit academic\/performance-related reports.
\n\u2022Set timetables for contact learning.
\n\u2022Check and update all qualification documentation, including fact sheets.
\n\u2022Conduct articulation and perform graduation-related activities<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Provide input to HOD on material review and curriculum development.
\n\u2022Manage qualification definition
\n\u2022Manage the configuration of the programme<\/p>\n
\nEducation & Experience Requirements
\n\u2022At least 3 years\u2019 experience in an educational environment required
\n\u2022An NQF 6 or business-related qualification recommended
\n\u2022Ideally some project management or coordination experience
\n\u2022Ideally prior exposure to the banking environment<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Passion for learning, education and students as well as for problem solving
\n\u2022Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills that portray professionalism at all times
\n\u2022Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\n\u2022Attention to detail
\n\u2022Student success orientation
\n\u2022Excellent planning and organising as well as administrative skills with high attention to detail
\n\u2022Ability to stay motivated, take initiative, learn fast and perform in an ever changing and pressurized environment
\n\u2022Ability to work in a team but also able to run with tasks self-sufficiently taking full accountability and responsibility
