Job Title: Registered Nurse\/Clinical Technologist – RCH Shifa<\/strong> Job Summary::<\/strong> KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:<\/strong> Requirements:<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

\nContract Type:<\/strong> Permanent
\nSalary:<\/strong> R 7.00 – 7.00 Monthly<\/p>\n
\nThe Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe, quality patient care in
\naccordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
\nThe incumbent will further be responsible for direct and\/or indirect nursing care of a patient
\nor a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the
\nimplementation of care to meet patient needs, be a role model in the delivery of evidence
\nbased care and will actively participate in Clinical Governance.<\/p>\n
\nTo perform dialysis according to prescription in a safe manner and in accordance to NRC\u2019s
\ninternal policies and procedures.
\nTo provide optimal patient care as per the nursing scope of practice and NRC\u2019s clinical
\ncare pathways.
\nManage and maintain all medical equipment in accordance with NRC\u2019s technical policies
\nand procedures.
\nEnsure that all NRC quality initiative programs are utilised for the patients under your
\nmanagement.
\nEnsure that all patient clinical records are maintained and updated in accordance with the
\ndeadlines, policies & procedures and the NRC standards.
\nEnsure that all financial policies and procedures are followed in the unit i.e. confirmation,
\nbilling, private patients, stock, waste etc.
\nResponsible for leading the shift and for the supervision of all subcategories on the floor
\non a daily basis.
\nDemonstrate the National Renal Care Values and Caring the NRC Way.<\/p>\n
\nREQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>
\nRelevant qualification within a specialist area or equivalent NQF 7.
\nRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse\/ Midwife
\nExperience in Renal Nursing will be a strong recommendation
\nCapacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all
\naccredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
\nMust be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
