\noDevelop and maintain financial accounting processes and procedures
\noImplement and maintain sound internal controls
\noOversee the management accounting and internal control processes and procedures
\noIdentify financial accounting risks and develop and implement mitigating strategies
\noAttend to audit queries<\/p>\n
\noEstablish and maintain a budgeting system and assist with setting up the planning parameters
\noManage and control the annual planning and budgeting process
\noPrepare the budget
\noInterface and train users regularly regarding budget control and variance reports<\/p>\n
\noPrepare statutory returns (i.e. VAT, PAYE, SDL and RSC)
\noVerify the General Ledger, accruals and control accounts
\noReview local reconciliations before payments can be made
\noReview Creditors on a monthly basis
\noPrepare journal file and financial month-end pack
\noVerify and authorise Forex differences
\noReview alignment of contractual payment conditions with budgets and forecasts
\noControl commitments against budget
\noManage cost control workflow
\noEnsure that work measurements are correctly accrued and accredited<\/p>\n
\noReport on all cost activities (e.g. budget, forecasts) and on work in progress in line with company policies, legislation and GAAP
\noReport on variances between budgets, commitments and expenditure
\noAssist with refining and enhancing financial reporting for the organisation
\noImplement reporting software<\/p>\n
\noManage the designated area within time and budget
\noIdentify and timeously address problems and opportunities
\noProvide direction in respect of decision making
\noFacilitate and resolve conflicting issues or requirements
\noEnsure compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements and internationally accepted environmental, health, safety and
