The incumbent will be responsible for the delivery of the following key performance areas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Group Financial Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Maun, North West, Botswana<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> WSBOTS06\/21<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Overall responsibility for the accuracy of the Wilderness Safaris Botswana Trial Balance covering Safari Operations, Flying Business and Aircraft Maintenance.<br \/>\n\u2022Recruitment, management and development of finance staff ensuring adequate staffing (who are effective, efficient and accurate) and knowledge required at all levels within the finance department. Ensure optimal staffing and any necessary training to the company\u2019s needs.<br \/>\n\u2022Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinating on time submission of monthly accounts, including inter alia:<br \/>\noProvision of accurate, complete and timeous financial information<br \/>\noMaintenance of accurate and complete accounting records<br \/>\noPreparation of monthly management accounts commentaries<br \/>\noManaging the month-end reporting process<br \/>\noPreparation and submission of monthly group reporting packs<br \/>\noReview of monthly balance sheet review files prepared by Finance Managers<br \/>\n\u2022Working capital management, including Bank and Cash, Accounts Receivables, Inventory and Accounts Payables as well as all the associated processes<br \/>\n\u2022Reviewing work done by the Finance Managers and their teams ensuring it meets Wilderness Holdings minimum quality standards.<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinating tax compliance activities including preparation and submission of all relevant tax returns (VAT, OWHT, Income Tax and PAYE)<br \/>\n\u2022Working knowledge of Income and Deferred Tax calculations<br \/>\n\u2022Review of tax account reconciliations with the objective of ensuring that all tax affairs are up to date and issues requiring liaison with BURS are dealt with promptly<br \/>\n\u2022Review of cash availability reports prepared by staff and making appropriate internal funding decisions based on available cash resources<br \/>\n\u2022Implementation and maintenance of effective systems of internal controls including the prevention and detection of fraud and other non-compliance with relevant laws.<br \/>\n\u2022Primary responsibility for managing compliance with Financial Intelligence Agency regulations.<br \/>\n\u2022Participate in the completion of the quarterly Rolling Forecasts<br \/>\n\u2022Management of the annual year -end audit including coordinating auditors\u2019 travel and accommodation logistics<br \/>\n\u2022Review and preparation of individual entity year- end audit packs and interim reporting packs<br \/>\n\u2022Review and preparation of individual entity annual financial statements<br \/>\n\u2022Preparation of Okavango Wilderness Safaris Group consolidated annual financial statements<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinating finance department interactions with other departments, namely Procurement and Logistics (Safari Operations) and OPS (all business units) and give guidance where required on SLA\u2019s for suppliers<br \/>\n\u2022Management of ad-hoc finance department projects<br \/>\n\u2022Authorisation of payments (bank signatory), including strict maintenance of timeous payments to suppliers according to standardised payment schedules<br \/>\n\u2022Any other responsibilities as assigned by the RFM, including and not to limited financial modelling and strategic business reviews to elicit better returns from operations<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Qualified Chartered Accountant(non-negotiable)<br \/>\n\u2022Accounting or Business Management Degree<br \/>\n\u2022Hands on consolidations experience<br \/>\n\u2022Experience in managing qualified professional accountants (CAs)<br \/>\n\u2022A minimum of 7 years\u2019 financial management experience, with at least 3 years at Group Financial Manager level or equivalent.<br \/>\n\u2022Working knowledge of Botswana Tax and Company Law<br \/>\n\u2022Tourism and hospitality industry an added advantage<\/p>\n<p><strong>COMPETENCIES:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Strategic thinking<br \/>\n\u2022Outstanding communication skills<br \/>\n\u2022Influential<br \/>\n\u2022Negotiation skills<br \/>\n\u2022High Integrity<br \/>\n\u2022Analytical skills<br \/>\n\u2022Results oriented<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3Dfc3c62baadf843bb99767e1ae83a33bf%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F52533%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> 09\/09\/2021<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Reporting to the Regional Financial Officer (RFO), the incumbent of this position will be responsible for management of a large finance department responsible for the Wilderness Safaris Botswana companies.
