Job Title: Financial & Project Assistant<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
\nReference #:<\/strong> Ref # 38\/04
\nContract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nFinancial & Project Assistant
\nKey Performance Areas: Managing business-related tasks and projects for the Directors, such as:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Researching data
\n\u2022 Analysing and verifying completeness and accuracy of data
\n\u2022 Preparing and\/or collating data and reports, including financial and non-financial reports, communications and organograms
\n\u2022 Advising on the financial and non-financial implications of business decisions
\n\u2022 Working with management and all departments to ensure a full understanding of all areas of the business related to task and projects
\n\u2022 Assisting with evaluating policies and systems\/processes, suggesting improvements where needed
\n\u2022 Project management
\n\u2022 Accurately recording minutes from meetings where necessary
\n\u2022 Following up and dealing with tax documentation and payments of Directors personal tax
\n\u2022 Undertake other tasks as assigned.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nPosition Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Previous experience (5 years) in a financial role is essential
\n\u2022 Sound understanding of financial principles
\n\u2022 Proven record of sound implementation of business processes
\n\u2022 Excellent administrative skills
\n\u2022 Basic understanding of tax would be a benefit
\n\u2022 Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
\n\u2022 Experience in Pastel would be advantageous.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
\n\u2022 Above average interpersonal skills
\n\u2022 Excellent analytical ability and multitasking
\n\u2022 Attention to detail
\n\u2022 Must be in possession of relevant B.Com or equivalent qualification
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
\n\u2022 Confidentiality, honesty and discretion are important attributes<\/p>\n
