\nThe Community Engagement Officer is responsible for managing the recruitment and retention strategy for all site trials that include meeting sponsor set targets, stakeholder engagement and the promotion of trials in the community.<\/p>\n
\nApply knowledge and understanding of the disease under study
\nFavourable Stakeholder engagement
\nCommunity engagement and education
\nCoordination and participation in recruitment and retention activities
\nFacilitate and participate in community engagement activities
\nManage outreach staff
\nData capturing, reporting and record keeping
\nCommunication with sponsor representatives and senior site management<\/p>\n
\nEducation:<\/strong>
\nA Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities , Health Sciences or equivalent
\nMinimum of a Grade 12 for an incumbent without a degree ; must have CLO experience in clinical trials
\nA GCP Certificate<\/p>\n
\nAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in Community Education and Engagement work; advantageous : experience in a clinical trial or health care environment
\nUp to 2 years\u2019 experience in a related Management position
\nAt least 5 years\u2019 experience in Community Education and Engagement and in a related Management position, for an incumbent without a degree<\/p>\n
\nExperience in utilising Recruitment and Retention strategies<\/p>\n
\nSA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
\nBasic computer skills
\nDriver\u2019s license
\nProfessional Drivers Permit (optional)
\nWilling to work overtime<\/p>\n
