The organisation has developed capacities and responses in keeping with the transformation of the child and youth care sector. The main thrust is two programs encompassing a broad range of services at the early intervention, prevention and statutory levels.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Managing Director<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong> Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Opportunity type:<\/strong> Employment<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nProvide overall strategic leadership and implementation oversight of all James House programmes.<br \/>\nEnsure proper governance oversight and compliance with all applicable legislation.<br \/>\nMaintain donor \/ stakeholder relationships and source new funding opportunities.<br \/>\nDevise financial strategy for long-term sustainability and ensure implementation and maintenance of financial management systems and donor reporting.<br \/>\nHuman resource management and staff development.<br \/>\nManagement of the implementation of monitoring and evaluation database \/ systems.<br \/>\nAdvocate for and represent James House to external stakeholders.<br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be required to have:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n5 to 8 years senior management experience preferably gained in the Non-Profit child and youth care sector.<br \/>\nStrong strategic management and analytical skills.<br \/>\nA consultative management approach and a willingness to engage with and learn from the experience of others.<br \/>\nExperience and skills in human resource management, budgeting and financial management<br \/>\nExperience and skills in fundraising and building and maintaining donor \/ stakeholder relationships<br \/>\nDemonstrated communication and networking capabilities, including building partnerships with community and civil society organisations, corporate and government organisations.<br \/>\nPrevious experience in evaluating impact assessment of monitoring and evaluation systems an added advantage.<br \/>\nAbility to carry high workload and work under pressure<br \/>\nExcellent written and spoken English.
