Isibani Development Partners is a South African-registered NGO, launched in 2011 to become a leading local technical assistance provider, systems strengthening and grants manager for health and social service in Southern Africa. Isibani has been appointed by the National Department of Health to serve as one of the Sub-Recipients (SRs) for the GLOBAL FUND TB\/HIV program in Ekurhuleni and City of Johannesburg. Isibani seeks to appoint a Focal Nurses to implement its NDoH Global fund TB\/HIV program in the JHD and Ekurhuleni Districts.
\nJob Overview: Based at hospital \/decentralised sites, the focal Nurse will work closely with the medical and nursing service manager and quality improvement focal person, to activate HIV\/TB QI activities, coordinate and deliver services, and improve notification and linkage to care at PHCs.<\/p>\n

Job Title: Focal Nurse<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> 1. Coordinate TB activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n Work closely with hospital\/decentralised site management, HAST, sub district managers, and facility managers. 2. Support data collection and data management activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n Work closely with data capture\/data management teams 3. TB, HIV Care and Prevention:<\/strong><\/p>\n Support in-hospital TB and HIV care and prevention activities, including screening, patient education, sputum collection and HIV testing 4. Support active TB case finding:<\/strong><\/p>\n Employ appropriate messaging to trigger demand-driven TB case finding<\/p>\n 5. Promote and support infection prevention and control activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n Support hospital \/ decentralised management in implementation of effective IPT throughout the facility. Minimum requirements:<\/strong> Good leadership, mentoring and people management skills

\nKey Responsibilities and Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nImplement TB quality improvement (QI) activities, including establishing QI teams and facilitating QI meetings<\/p>\n
\nSupport QI activities to promote high quality data collation and data management<\/p>\n
\nProvide mentorship and support for provision of appropriate treatment for latent TB infection (LTBI) \u2013 3HP
\nSupport linkage to care in hospital<\/p>\n
\nEnsure staff adhere to standard operating procedures with respect to personal protective equipment (PPE)<\/p>\n
\nDiploma\/degree or relevant Nursing qualification
\nRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse
\nAt least 3 years\u2019 experience in nursing post registration
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office
\nAbility to communicate in English and at least one African language- isiZulu\/Sotho
\nValid driver\u2019s licence
\nKnowledge, Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nProficient computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database activity, internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software
\nExcellent attention to detail and deadlines
\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders
\nPrevious exposure within an NGO environment
\nMust have prior TB case management experience
\nPreferably must be residing within JHB and Ekurhuleni metropolitan area where the post is located<\/p>\n
