DFC has a vacancy for a SHE Officer. We are looking for a high energy, passionate about safety individual that can assist with planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining a variety of occupational health, safety and environmental programmes to assure the highest possible degree of safety for our employees and compliance to relevant statutes.<\/p>\n

Job Title: SHE Officer<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):<\/strong>
\n\u2022Facilitates the implementation of standards according to the requirements of the OSHAS guidelines and ISO standards.
\n\u2022Ensures the organisation is aware of and complies with, all legislation in relation to the use of its plant, equipment and substances, as well as in all workplace activities.
\n\u2022Ensure records systems are maintained at Site in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
\n\u2022Promotes occupational health and safety within the organisation and encourages safer and healthier working practices.
\n\u2022Determines training requirements and develops training plans.
\n\u2022Conducts Risk Assessments and implements control measures.
\n\u2022Develops and implements safety procedures including the training of employees on SHE practices.
\n\u2022Updates and maintains safety policies and procedures at Site level.
\n\u2022Ensures record systems are effectively maintained at site level in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards.
\n\u2022Preparation and participation in Safety related audits.
\n\u2022Assist with the clearing of audit findings.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
\n\u2022National Diploma Safety\/ Environmental Management or equivalent<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Minimum 3 years relevant SHE Experience.
\n\u2022Experience in the Manufacturing Industry will be advantageous.<\/p>\n

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:<\/strong>
\n\u2022NOSA 5 Star System, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems.
\n\u2022Strong people skills with an emphasis on persuading, influencing, relating and networking.
\n\u2022Action and goal orientated with ability to apply expertise and technology.
\n\u2022Strong values and principles orientation.
\n\u2022Strong planning, organizing, administrative and researching skills.
\n\u2022Team management.<\/p>\n
