NACOSA is a networking organisation that brings communities together to tackle HIV and its impact on vulnerable people. We have a 19-year track record of working with donors, government and communities to strengthen community systems and turn the tide on HIV, AIDS and TB.<\/p>\n
We do this through mobilizing our network of over 1,900 organisations, promoting dialogue between government and affected people, building capacity with accredited training, mentoring and technical assistance and channeling resources to support service delivery on the ground, particularly for children and youth, key populations and women and girls.<\/p>\n

\nNACOSA is looking for suitably qualified candidates within South Africa to manage the implementation of the DREAMS program in the Limpopo Province. The positions are available immediately.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Support the recruitment, selection and grant orientation of implementing partners as per Grant Management Guidelines
\n\u2022Coordinate and manage provincial programmatic workplans and ensure that grant implementation is in alignment with the approved workplan, budget and targets.
\n\u2022Provide in-depth programmatic guidance, mentoring, technical assistance and leadership to implementing partners
\n\u2022Monitor and analyze the programme performance of implementing partners and provide course correction where needed.
\n\u2022Lead in periodic assessments of program quality and support data and finance quality assurance assessments with implementing partners
\n\u2022Review and analyze implementing partner reports and site visit findings to identify service delivery gaps and enable meaningful consideration of performance, risks and programme progress and impact. Address shortcoming and risks immediately and effectively.
\n\u2022Produce periodic reports on programme objectives, implementation plans and performance including Monthly report, Quarterly Narrative Progress report.
\n\u2022Support the Program Manager in making payment recommendations on implementing partners and communicate outcomes to sub-awardees.
\n\u2022Network with, and build strategic alliances and relationships with key provincial and district stakeholders in the AGYW, gender and sexual violence field and act as a thought leader.
\n\u2022Represent NACOSA at high level technical meetings and forums at provincial and district level.
\n\u2022Manage the Provincial DREAMS Implementation strategy and ensure collaborative relationships and bi-directional linkages with other USG funded DREAMS implementation partners.
\n\u2022Attend quarterly engagement with PCAs, DACs and other relevant provincial and district structures to provide programme progress update.<\/p>\n
\nRequired qualifications, skills and experience:<\/strong>
\nWe are looking for an experienced Programme Specialist with a successful track record of programme management.
\n\u2022Bachelor degree or equivalent in Social Science\/Public Health or related discipline. A Master\u2019s degree will be an added advantage.
\n\u2022Minimum of 5 years specific HIV prevention related work experience in the health and social development sectors, and preferably in the field of OVC, AGYW and\/or survivors of sexual violence
\n\u2022Experience in programme planning, implementation, management and M&E, including management of outsourced partners.
\n\u2022Knowledge about: HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health; HIV Testing Services; GBV programming; evidence-informed and rights-based programming for survivors of GBV, particularly for adolescent girls and young women; functioning of Thuthuzela Care Centres; the relevant national and provincial policies and guidelines pertaining to GBV and HIV services.
\n\u2022Excellent communications skills in English, including the ability to guide implementers and service providers on the programme.
\n\u2022Must be analytically minded and have excellent writing skills, including the ability to compile insightful and user-friendly reports.
\n\u2022Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems and ability to create graphs, flow diagrams and GANTT charts.
\n\u2022Must be highly organized, deadline driven and efficient with planning skills and a proactive and positive approach.
\n\u2022Ability to work well in a team environment, and to coordinate multiple inputs to tight deadlines, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
\n\u2022Understanding of the NGO sector and knowledge of big donor processes\/requirements will be a benefit.
\n\u2022Must be a human rights advocate with excellent advocacy skills and experience.
