\nThe position of System Administrator\u2019s primary responsibility is maintaining and securing Windows servers and Microsoft 365 service. The role will include troubleshooting of system and server related issues and execution of documented operational and maintenance procedures.<\/p>\n
\nServer management:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Maintain server infrastructure
\n\u2022Configure and deploy new Windows servers
\n\u2022Create and maintain secure server images using CIS benchmarks and build kits
\n\u2022Monitor performance, availability and stability of servers to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime
\n\u2022Review, document and implement server security controls
\n\u2022Create scripts to automate server management tasks
\n\u2022Maintain Active Directory servers and services
\n\u2022Maintain and optimise Group Policy Objects<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Maintain Milpark M365 Tenants
\n\u2022Maintain & improve security\/compliance policies
\n\u2022Manage users, licenses, groups & features<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Ensure physical security of IT infrastructure
\n\u2022Oversee the procurement, receipt and configuration of new hardware and software
\n\u2022Monitor logs and troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
\n\u2022Ensure proper management of IT assets
\n\u2022Assist with new infrastructure projects as and when required
\n\u2022Monitor backup processes to ensure recoverability according to the disaster recovery plan

\nEducation & Experience Requirements
\n\u2022Minimum 5 years\u2019 experience in a similar role
\n\u2022Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar relevant degree
\n\u2022Thorough understanding of Microsoft server technologies, certification will be an advantage
\n\u2022Ability to script in Powershell and other Microsoft scripting languages
\n\u2022In depth knowledge of Active Directory
\n\u2022In depth knowledge of Microsoft365 services
\n\u2022Knowledge of patch management tools (WSUS, SCCM)
\n\u2022Knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP and SMTP
\n\u2022Cybersecurity experience will be an advantage<\/p>\n
