Job Title: Team Leader – Planning<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> East London, Eastern Cape, South Africa

\nSalary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nThe Team Leader \u2013 Planning is responsible for execution of Fibre Planner duties where required, overseeing of the Planning and Draughtsperson teams as well as delivering the targets as set out by the Regional Growth Manager (RGM).<\/p>\n

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Updating of progress and changes relating to plans.
\n\u2022 Day-to-day interactions with Municipal Officials.
\n\u2022 Manage and coordinate the work of the planning and draughtsperson\u2019s teams.
\n\u2022 Plan work based on the priorities assigned by the RGM.
\n\u2022 Organise the resources to perform the planning.
\n\u2022 Arrange site surveys to ensure planning considers local conditions.
\n\u2022 Ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
\n\u2022 Oversee fibre design and planning process (develop fibre designs when required).
\n\u2022 Derive a final BoM from draughtsperson\u2019s plans.
\n\u2022 Preparation of survey reports.
\n\u2022 Wayleave submission and management.
\n\u2022 Participate in kick-off meetings with the RGM and Project Managers.
\n\u2022 Ensure as-built drawings and splice plans are kept up to date with feedback from the field teams in
\ncollaboration with the fibre Planners.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nThe successful candidate must have the following experience\/skills:<\/strong>
\nExperience as a Planner and in fibre\/CAD\/OSP and GIS software.
\n\u2022 Experience as a Team Leader\/Manager will be advantageous.
\n\u2022 Experience engaging with Municipalities is a requirement.
\n\u2022 Minimum 2 year\u2019s Project Management experience.
\n\u2022 Valid driver\u2019s license and own transport.
\n\u2022 Professional knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, schemes, policies and guidelines.
\n\u2022 Excellent research skills.
\n\u2022 Excellent organisational skills i.e. able to plan, prioritise, co-ordinate and control.
\n\u2022 Ability to work quickly and under pressure.
\n\u2022 Problem-solving skills.
\n\u2022 Time management skills.
\n\u2022 Communication skills (written and verbal).
\n\u2022 MS Office skills<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Grade 12.
\n\u2022 AutoCAD courses completed.
\n\u2022 An Urban\/Town and Regional Planning degree or relevant 3-year qualification is required.<\/p>\n
