With a point of sale network of approximately 150 000 devices, we provide a distribution footprint across all income groups. 85% of our income comes from merchants in the informal sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Financial Accountant: BLD<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Sandton, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> B130<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Temporary<br \/>\n6 Months<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nSupports financial decision-making information by collecting, processing, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Preparation of journals and financial statements:<\/strong><br \/>\nPreparation of final group management accounts (debtors, creditors, intercompanies, loans, cash books, treasury share scheme, taxation)<br \/>\nFinalization of management accounts for Group<br \/>\nProcessing of month end journals through perform month end closing activities such as account reconciliation, revenue accounting, expense accounting, etc.<br \/>\nFull general ledger reconciliations<br \/>\nPreparation and processing of monthly VAT Recon<br \/>\nPrepare and maintain the Fixed Asset register and reconciliations<br \/>\nCalculate and accounting for depreciation, assets disposal, asset purchases<br \/>\nVerify and report on assets when required<br \/>\nProcessing of rental recoveries and rental expenses<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maintenance of accurate financial records:<\/strong><br \/>\nEnsure financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles<br \/>\nMaintain accurate accounting records<br \/>\nPrepare and submit financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.<br \/>\nReview all financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.<br \/>\nDetermine accounting errors or discrepancies and suggest necessary corrective action<br \/>\nManage proper filing and document archiving<\/p>\n<p><strong>Annual Budget and Audit Preparation:<\/strong><br \/>\nSupport preparation of annual budget forecast and projections.<br \/>\nAssist in preparing necessary documentation for annual financial audits.<br \/>\nLiaise with auditors and assist in the audit process<br \/>\nResolving of queries<br \/>\nMaintaining all internal audit requirements in full compliance of the BLT internal audit requirements<br \/>\nCompile statutory reports \/ return as and when required<br \/>\nAssist with the finalization of income statements and balance sheets on a monthly basis and for year-end audits<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work collaboratively:<\/strong><br \/>\nBuild a culture of respect and understanding across the organisation<br \/>\nRecognise outcomes which resulted from effective collaboration between teams<br \/>\nBuild co-operation and overcome barriers to information sharing, communication and collaboration across the organisation<br \/>\nFacilitate opportunities to engage and collaborate with external stakeholders to develop joint solutions<\/p>\n<p><strong>Self-Management:<\/strong><br \/>\nSet an example through personal quality and productivity standards and ways of working with others.<br \/>\nDemonstrate consistent application of internal procedures.
