Job Title: FINANCE MANAGER<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Team management and collaboration:<\/strong> Management of SLA\u2019s for ERP and HRM systems to ensure optimal service, thereby enhancing team effectiveness.<\/p>\n Divisional strategy:<\/strong><\/p>\n As a key member of the divisional leadership team, providing assistance with the development and implementation of divisional strategy within the framework of group strategy.<\/p>\n Actively involved in, and able to bring influence to bear on, all material divisional decisions to ensure that implications, opportunities and risks are fully considered, thereby achieving alignment with the group\u2019s strategy.<\/p>\n Responsible for financial quantification and interpretation of divisional strategy.<\/p>\n Financial management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Co-ordinating the planning and budgeting processes, setting financial targets and key performance indicators for the division.<\/p>\n Measurement against set targets and performance indicators, determining causes for variances and corrective actions to be and advising on financial viability of commercial opportunities.<\/p>\n Commercial management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Review of tenders or other client proposals to ensure corporate guidelines and financial principles for assessment of financial viability of the tender or proposal have been adhered to.<\/p>\n Review contract documentation and ensure that financial risks have been properly taken into account and mitigated where feasible.<\/p>\n Reporting:<\/strong><\/p>\n Review of monthly divisional reporting.<\/p>\n Oversight and review of divisional budget, including detailed supporting schedules.<\/p>\n Preparation\/review of input for Manco, Exco and board financial reports.<\/p>\n Financial presentations for various meetings.<\/p>\n Taxation:<\/strong><\/p>\n Provide assistance with any SARS queries related to the division.<\/p>\n Monitoring of tax compliance as part of development of tenders and other proposals.<\/p>\n Participate in tax planning during budgeting process.<\/p>\n Knowledge of foreign tax ( direct and indirect)<\/p>\n Enterprise risk management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Management of financial risks at divisional level in accordance with group enterprise risk management policy.<\/p>\n Participate in group risk assessment process and mitigation of risks.<\/p>\n Preparation of divisional enterprise risk management report.<\/p>\n Business intelligence:<\/strong><\/p>\n Development and maintenance of BI dashboards for Manco and divisional operational management.<\/p>\n Analysis of key trends and providing input and advice where required to enhance divisional performance.<\/p>\n Internal and External audits:<\/strong><\/p>\n Review of audit findings related to divisional processes and coordinate management comments.<\/p>\n Implementation of any relevant improvements \/ recommendations.<\/p>\n Provide assistance in the carrying out of the internal and external audit.<\/p>\n Supplier and procurement management:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensure that the best prices and contract\/ purchasing terms with key suppliers are negotiated.<\/p>\n Ensure compliance and adherence to Group procurement procedures.<\/p>\n Ensure divisional procurement savings initiatives are achieved.<\/p>\n

\nFinance Manager is responsible for the full spectrum of financial and management accounting, including regulatory reporting for the responsible divisions within Fraser Alexander, day to day operational procurement.<\/p>\n
\nOn-going communication and collaboration with the COO and CFO and his\/her direct reports regarding financial, commercial, enterprise risk management and IT related matters.<\/p>\n
