These learners need to possess exceptional academic talent, a passion for learning and leadership potential.<\/p>\n<p>Dedicated to cultivating and expanding South Africa\u2019s talent, as well as empowering and uplifting deserving individuals and communities, the Old Mutual Learners\u2019 Scholarship Programme offers inspired, gifted learners in grades 8 and 9 the opportunity to apply for a scholarship from grade 10 through to grade 12 at top South African Model C and Independent high schools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The benefits of an Old Mutual Scholarship include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Quality Maths education<\/strong>, extramural activities and life skills from a top South African high school.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Individual support<\/strong>, encouragement and mentorship.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Funding<\/strong> for tuition and hostel fees.<\/li>\n<li>An\u00a0<strong>additional allowance<\/strong> for travel, stationery, books, toiletries, school uniforms and clothes.<\/li>\n<li>An\u00a0<strong>interactive job shadow programme<\/strong> at Old Mutual for learners exploring Accounting and Actuarial careers.<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong>chance to apply for<\/strong> Old Mutual Accounting and Actuarial University\u00a0<strong>bursaries<\/strong> after matriculating successfully with the required grades.<\/li>\n<li>The possibility of an Accounting or Actuarial\u00a0<strong>career path<\/strong> with Old Mutual after graduation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Apply Now<\/h1>\n<p>If you think you\u2019ve got what it takes to apply\u00a0for an Old Mutual Learners Scholarship then the process will be as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oldmutual.co.za\/documents\/InternshipsBursaries\/LearnersScholarshipApp.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">application form<\/a> for grade 10 scholarships.<\/li>\n<li>Complete and submit your application in the original format by<br \/>\n<strong>30 July 2010<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>All applications will be carefully considered and suitable applicants shortlisted according to the selection criteria.<\/li>\n<li>Testing will be arranged to arrive at an interim short list.<\/li>\n<li>Interviews will then be arranged with interim short-listed learners.<\/li>\n<li>A simulation exercise will conducted with the short-listed candidates.<\/li>\n<li>The final short list will then be announced and presented to the selected Model C and Independent schools who will then make their selection.<\/li>\n<li>Scholarships will be awarded to successful learners.<\/li>\n<li>Learners will enter into a contract agreement with old Mutual.<\/li>\n<li>An orientation session will be arranged for scholarship recipients and their parents or guardians.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Why not go for it and succeed and shine with Old Mutual?
