Participate in the development of Regulations and Technical Standards. Ensure that SACAA is protected against any legal risk when taking the necessary enforcement actions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Manager: Enforcement and Exemptions<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference #:<\/strong> Manager: Enforcement and Exemptions<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nResearch and draft accurate and legally correct legal opinions.<br \/>\nRecommend the course of action to be taken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Litigation Process:<\/strong><br \/>\nConsider the merits of the matter.<br \/>\nResearch the legalities pertaining to the matter and ensure that SACAA is protected against any legal risk that may arise.<br \/>\nCoordinate, provide assistance to, monitor and guide the attorneys in litigation matters.<br \/>\nMonitor and manage appeals lodged at the Civil Aviation Appeal Committee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enforcement and exemptions:<\/strong><br \/>\nDevelop and comment on policy guidelines for enforcement.<br \/>\nDevelop training material and conduct training.<br \/>\nProvide legal advice and guidance on enforcement actions to be taken and make recommendations.<br \/>\nConvene and play an instrumental role in Enforcement Meetings.<br \/>\nConsult with relevant law enforcement agencies.<br \/>\nManage and monitor the exemptions register and ensure consistency in the decisions taken on exemptions. Perform any other function for Legal Department when delegated by the Senior Manager: Legal and Aviation Compliance.<br \/>\nProvide any legal advice when assigned to do so.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drafting of Contracts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Draft, vet, interpret and advise on contracts to ensure compliance and to protect the interests of SACAA.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Regulation Development:<\/strong><br \/>\nDraft\/vet proposals for amendment of regulations and technical standards.<br \/>\nFacilitate and monitor the approval process of the regulations, ensuring that the regulatory amendments meet regulation drafting principles before submission to DCA and Minister for promulgation. Adhere to submission turnaround times.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Management:<\/strong><br \/>\nGuide and mentor Enforcement Specialists and Enforcement Coordinator.<br \/>\nManage and monitor the performance of Enforcement Specialists and Enforcement and Exemptions Administrator.<br \/>\nConstantly train Enforcement Specialists.<br \/>\nCoordinate the implementation of the administration of the fine structure.<\/p>\n<p>The SACAA will process applications as soon as possible.
