This position leads and directs a specialist procurement team responsible for providing technical and strategic advice and support for the development and administration of all procurement and contract management related activities for the Airline.<\/p>\n

Job Title: Procurement Manager<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Support the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes to ensure supply chain activities meet the strategic business requirements.<\/p>\n Contributes to the development of Divisional strategies and policies as they relate to procurement and contracting.<\/p>\n Develops insightful suggestions for sourcing, procurement and inventory controlling, ensuring cost reduction and guides strategic business decisions on the same.<\/p>\n Develops central procurement plan covering a rolling year period to ensure that all activities can be forward planned and that adequate resources exist<\/p>\n Engage with the business to identify the key procurement priorities and ensure that resources are assigned accordingly<\/p>\n Manage the engagement of procurement consultancy where specialist services are required, or existing resources cannot meet requirements<\/p>\n Maintains a process of review for all Contracts, Supplies and Suppliers ensuring that maximum value for money benefits are achieved through supplier rationalisation, developing an Approved Supplier list year on year<\/p>\n Development of complex and high-risk contracts including procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation, contract formation, in consultation and negotiation with stakeholders.<\/p>\n Effective contract management across the business with regular reviews, development of Service Level Agreements and key performance measures<\/p>\n Monitor trends in supplier and contract base and propose\/implement plans to respond to such trends<\/p>\n Set procurement savings targets each year in conjunction with the Director of Finance and monitor delivery against targets<\/p>\n Prepare a quarterly report to the Executive Team, Board and Audit & Risk Committee providing a review of procurement activities and achievements<\/p>\n Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of Policies, guidelines, and protocols in own area of specialization to ensure the company complies with regulations, best procurement practice and governance.<\/p>\n Plan and deliver procurement systems changes and manage the team on a day-today basis to meet project timelines, quality and budget requirements.<\/p>\n Analysing supply chain, trends and operational results and risk to ensure continuity of service and company performance<\/p>\n Utilising BI tools to optimize delivery and offer meaningful insights into business performance<\/p>\n Formulates overall tender strategies for Divisional projects<\/p>\n Directs the implementation of Divisional projects<\/p>\n Coordinates synergy across systems and divisional projects<\/p>\n Directs analysis of relevance of emerging trends on Financial systems and project solutions<\/p>\n Identify safety and\/or security risks and develop plans to mitigate identified risks<\/p>\n Develop systems to monitor adherence to safety and\/or security standards<\/p>\n Lead continuous improvement projects to improve safety and\/or security in the workplace<\/p>\n Provides Business Change Support to implementation of initiatives and change projects to ensure successful delivery.<\/p>\n Co-ordinate the effective management of suitable key strategic models to enable business activities to remain protected and opportunities maximised (PESTLE, SWOT & Orbit)<\/p>\n Manage and reports on the organization’s risk management and\/or control process. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.<\/p>\n Set up and maintain a control framework to ensure that all procurement activities are effectively managed and are in accordance with the Contract Standing Orders, Procurement Toolkit and Regulations<\/p>\n Formulates Scorecards, Monitors and report on business plan Performance<\/p>\n Hold direct reports accountable for performance planning and achievement of business plans<\/p>\n Requirements:<\/strong> \u2022A recognized Degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Minimum Experience Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022A minimum of eight (8) years post graduate experience of which four (4) years should have been in a role in middle to senior management level.<\/p>\n \u2022Airline\/Aviation experience will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
