Botswana Ash (Pty) Ltd (Botash) is a manufacturing company located in Sua Pan which produces soda ash and salt for application across a wide range of industries. A 50\/50 partnership between the government of Botswana and a South African Company, Chlor-Alkali Holdings (Pty) Ltd, Botash conducts all operational activities from production through to marketing and sales of soda ash and salt across the Southern African region.<\/p>\n

Job Title: Head of Projects Office<\/strong>

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nFor the role of Head of Projects Office, Botash seeks a strong Projects leader with excellent business and financial acumen, together with proven project management experience and strategic thinking capabilities, to steer the business and grow shareholder value.<\/p>\n

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Projects will be responsible for:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Establishing and managing the project office, developing and implementing stay in business and strategic business projects and plans;
\n\u2022 Providing strategic, technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful implementation of project activities;
\n\u2022 Providing overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery;
\n\u2022 Providing strategic oversight, advise and direction for projects implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to projects management and administration, reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial transactions, execution of project plans, project performance;
\n\u2022 Customer service and quality;
\n\u2022 Compliance and governance; people management and ensuring highest standards of Safety, Health and Environment.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 You will have all round leadership skills, exceptional communication and negotiating skills to build relationships with key stakeholders and influence decision making at the highest level.
\n\u2022 Experience in managing large-scale project portfolios will be a distinct advantage along with proven track-record and demonstrable leadership success.
\n\u2022 You will have a degree in any relevant field [Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical] together with membership of a recognized professional institution.
\n\u2022 You will have at least 15 years\u2019 post qualification experience of which 5 years would have been gained in at executive or senior management level in a project management role within a heavy industry environment.
\n\u2022 A hands-on orientation in all aspects of project management from scoping to post completion audit is mandatory.
\n\u2022 Your knowledge of the global industrial chemicals business, commercial awareness and customer focus will position you for this role.<\/p>\n
