\n\u2022Conduct detailed budgeting and forecasting for efficient and effective operations for the group
\n\u2022Consolidate the budgets for all divisions and companies
\n\u2022Present the budget and forecast
\n\u2022Monitor and track expenditure, and maximise cost-benefit ratio’s
\n\u2022Identify trends in variances over time
\n\u2022Recommend and advise on budget revisions to business
\n\u2022Prepare detailed budgets for new proposals and support the new business development team.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Manage requests, as well as the processing of Treasury transactions, as well as Inter-Company Transactions\/ Loans\/ Chargebacks
\n\u2022Manage and reconcile Petty Cash for project as necessary.
\n\u2022Check and oversee HR (payroll) related cost allocation, timesheets, payslips and expenditure
\n\u2022Asset Registers are up to date
\n\u2022Conduct effective Balance Sheet Management
\n\u2022Provide Financial data, information and interpretation as input to Business Cases
\n\u2022Engage in financial planning activities to minimise financial risk on projects
\n\u2022Support budget Managers to draw up initial budgets for the respective projects
\n\u2022Reconcile actual vs project budget, and advise on potential risks and issues
\n\u2022Support with requests for funding as well as initiatives to secure alternative funding
\n\u2022Risk management<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Ensure that management account data are accurately presented in the financial system
\n\u2022Consolidation of core unfunded management acocunts monthly
\n\u2022Oversee all financial transactions and ensure compliance to general accounting principles and standards
\n\u2022Manage funder debtors within acceptable debtor days for group
\n\u2022Monitor Fixed Assets and ensure the integrity and accuracy of the Asset Register<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Confirm the decision making authorities pertaining to the role
\n\u2022Ensure an in-depth understanding of the key business priorities to be able to successfully prioritise and drive the relevant decision making
\n\u2022Actively participate in project management to ensure from a financial perspective that projects are delivered within time, budget and funder requirements
\n\u2022Liaise with the program managers\/CEO\/CFO and manage all major procurement decisions
\n\u2022Ensure an in-depth understanding of the relevant cost and financial value drivers to be able to identify saving opportunities
\n\u2022Monitor and report back on savings realised
\n\u2022Monitor project expenses to proactively identify Project extensions and manage low cost extensions
\n\u2022Conduct rigorous monitoring and management of assets
\n\u2022Participate in Business Case reviews to ensure the financial integrity thereof<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Ensure that the appropriate financial governance structures are in place and properly communicated to all stakeholders
\n\u2022Monitor adherence to internal financial parameters, and external legislative and governance requirements
\n\u2022Regularly liaise with the Senior Aurum Leadership on corporate governance, provide advice and contribute toward the alignment to the relevant legislation and regulations
\n\u2022Provide proactive financial advice, insight, commentary and input to the senior leadership to manage and mitigate financial and as such, business risk
\n\u2022Ensure that budget holders are adhering to budgets and applying cost control techniques

\n\u2022Proactively manage cashflow and monitor cashflow risks
\n\u2022Advise the senior leadership on proactive mitigations to put in place to manage risk
\n\u2022Minimize losses that may arise from financial transactions and business operations undertaken by the division
\n\u2022Conduct treasury forecasting to ensure that inflow and outflow amounts match by considering exchange rate fluctuations
\n\u2022Monitor and track foreign exchange gains and losses to minimise an adverse foreign exchange effect<\/p>\n
