Job Title: Senior Credit Controller<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
\nReference #:<\/strong> LC0050

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nThe purpose of the role is to collect outstanding payments due effectively and efficiently and to rehabilitate and retain the tenant in order to minimize risk and losses to the Landlord.<\/p>\n

Perform collections for current and ex-tenants:<\/strong>
\n1.Current Tenants: Keeping current arreas below an acceptable level.
\n2.Reduce\/maintain cancellation of leases for current tenants.
\n3.Ex-tenants: Increase receipts.
\n4.Maintain bad debts and hand over.
\n5.Reduce the arrears of number of external tenants.
\n6.Complete necessary records and credit control notes.
\n7.Follow up with payments and arrangements.
\n8.Submit reports timeously.<\/p>\n

Perform a customer service function to build and maintain relationships with tenants:<\/strong>
\n1.Customer satisfaction: increase customer satisfaction by converting unsatisfied customers to satisfied customers.
\n2.Increase customers understanding of procedures and provide solutions to customer queries within CPA policies and procedures.
\n3.Maintain a high standard of the first contact resolution.
\n4.Accurate and timely completion of the MDA system.
\n5.Complete logged queries in line with the critical nature of the issue and required timeframe.<\/p>\n

Perform administrative duties:<\/strong>
\n1.Report on arrears on a weekly and monthly basis
\n2.Perform daily administration of credit control management console and MDA system, reports, and communications.
\n3.Issue accurate instructions and ensure documentation is attached as per prevailing processes
\n4.Ensure that ITC listings happen after three consecutive billing cycles. Consider payment arrangements and adjustments to tenant accounts.
\n5.Maintain acceptable standards in terms of completeness and quality of documents submitted for processing.
\n6.Blacklisting of all ex-tenants on MDA where leases have been cancelled due to arrears debts has been written off and file handed over.
\n7.Review monthly MDA reports and update MDA accordingly.
\n8.Ensure that most of the payers are on debit order, where possible.
\n9.Reconciliation of accounts on an ongoing basis
\n10.Manage unallocated payments in the banking accounts daily.<\/p>\n

Management, coaching and mentoring of staff members:<\/strong>
\n1.Ensure that staff in team are motivated and empowered by making them accountable for their own development.
\n2.Provide regular and effective feedback to management.
\n3.Provide assistance and guidance to team members in reaching their targets.
\n4.Ensure that staff are managed in terms of the company policies and procedures.
\n5.Ensure that performance management deadlines are met as laid down by the Credit Control Manager.
\n6.Collate relevant reports from assigned team members.
\n7.Management and double check real time and reports on a regular basis to ensure compliance and completeness.
\n8.Ensure that deadlines are met.
\n9.Conduct quality checks on team members\u2019 feedback.
\n10.Ensue that staff update all notes where required.
\n11.Ensure that all required documents are signed off and checked before distribution.
\n12.Tracking and managing the quality of team input outcomes and feedback.<\/p>\n

Working conditions:<\/strong>
\nMostly Office Based. No travelling required.<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nQualifications & Experience:<\/strong>
\n1.Matric qualification required.
\n2.Post qualification in finance or credit preferred.
\n3.4+ years\u2019 experience in credit control required.
\n4.Experience in property management preferred.
\n5.Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience in supervisory\/managerial role preferred.<\/p>\n

Skills & Knowledge Required:<\/strong>
\n1.Knowledge of basic accounting.
\n2.Knowledge of MDA \u2013 advanced.
\n3.Knowledge of Bookit preferable
\n4.MS Office skills:
\na.MS Excel \u2013 Intermediate
\nb.MS Outlook \u2013 Intermediate
\nc.MS Word \u2013 Intermediate
\n5.Strong numerical ability.
\n6.Reconciliation skills.
\n7.Good verbal and written communication skills at all levels.
\n8.Good telephone etiquette.<\/p>\n
