\nThe role is required to manage\/supervise and coordinate all activities covering sampling, stope width control, grade control and measurements. The role is required to provide direction to mining and assist the business unit in the management of the ore reserves (Ore reserve control and accounting). The role must manage and supervise a team of Samplers and their assistants to ensure accurate departmental production throughout, through efficient performance of all field work, data capturing, data processing and system usage and report generation tasks.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022To provide direction to mining and assist the business unit in the management of the ore reserves (Ore reserve control and accounting).
\n\u2022Manage and supervise a team of Samplers and their assistants to ensure accurate departmental production throughout.
\n\u2022Ensuring that the departmental personnel have an understanding of the specific business\/production processes, equipment and machinery and their impact on evaluation
\n\u2022Quality control for the department
\n\u2022Effective application of standards and procedures for the evaluation systems
\n\u2022General system management, administration and report generation for the department
\n\u2022Planning for budgets
\n\u2022Design and management of evaluation projects
\n\u2022Selection of team members, acquisition of resources and performance measurements
\n\u2022Assisting with training and development of departmental personnel
\n\u2022Technical input into annual ore reserve planning
\n\u2022Overall coordination and management of information gathering and interpretation for the department
\n\u2022Liaison with Assay laboratories on assay result interpretation and quality control
\n\u2022Capturing and representing data and information in line with organisational and stakeholder requirements and accurate and timeous reporting of data and information
\n\u2022Adherence to standardisation requirements, policies, procedures and operating standards related to the role
\n\u2022Participating in the identification of defects and improvement opportunities
\n\u2022Successful teamwork and collaboration with stakeholders
\n\u2022Adherence to organisational and legislative safety requirements<\/p>\n
\nMinimum Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Grade 12 Certificate
\n\u2022Chamber of Mines\u2019 Advance Valuation Certificate
\n\u2022Mining relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. B-Tech or BSc) an advantage
\n\u2022Minimum 5 years relevant experience in evaluation, sampling and grade control management.
\n\u2022Ability to communicate with people on different levels
\n\u2022Computer literate, good command of Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
\n\u2022Valid Certificate of physical fitness
\n\u2022Drivers license<\/p>\n
