Job Title: Manager AIS<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Planning:<\/strong><\/p>\n Tactical planning of resources requirements including human, physical, technical and financial. Budgeting and Control:<\/strong><\/p>\n Manage the delegation and availability of resources applicable to projects and internal routine requirements. Communications and Safety Promotion:<\/strong><\/p>\n To project a satisfactory image of the SACAA to all stakeholders. Management of Directly Reporting Position Holders:<\/strong><\/p>\n Manage key performance areas of holders of directly reporting positions to ensure achievement of their agreed objectives. Verification and Publications and Coordination:<\/strong><\/p>\n To verify and publish the aeronautical information with ICAO standards and requirements. Quality Standard Oversight:<\/strong><\/p>\n Ensure compliance with ICAO SARPS The SACAA will process applications as soon as possible. \nOperational Management:<\/strong>
\nManage the delegation and availability of resources applicable to aeronautical information.
\nTimeous response to operational demand changes.
\nEnsure safety oversight of service provider\/s and regulatory compliance.
\nManages the verification and dissemination of Aeronautical Information (related to all aspects of civil aviation regulations, e.g. aircraft, operations, security, airports, airspace, etc. and ensure compliance of AIMU technical requirements and facilities approvals..
\nManages SLA\u2019s with data providers.
\nIn addition accountabilities include approval of parachute jump requests, registration of RTF call signs and location indicators.
\nOversight of internal information process flow control.
\nResearch and development in relation to compliance with all aspects of Aeronautical Information Management, benchmarking and development, etc.<\/p>\n
\nInitiate regulatory reviews regarding the applicable regulations and submission to CARCOM
\nAssessment and inputs to CAA policy development process.
\nResearch, develop and draft Regulations and SOPs and relate guidance material<\/p>\n
\nTimeous response to operational demand changes.
\nDevelopment of annual budget and control of expenditure.<\/p>\n
\nTo provide industry feedback to the Authority.
\nParticipation in regional and global AIS forums.
\nArrange, coordinate and present safety promotion activities such as publications, seminars or workshops.
\nAddressing technical queries related to areas of responsibility
\nInterdepartmental interaction in cases where queries, accidents or compliance matters crosses departmental boundaries.<\/p>\n
\nCoaching of staff
\nEnsure availability of staff to perform required functions.
\nIdentify and train staff according to requirements<\/p>\n
\nCoordinate with other states Civil Aviation Authorities regarding the exchange of Aeronautical publications.<\/p>\n
\nSupport and compliance with ISO
\nRepresent SA view on international fora for area of<\/p>\n
\nEmployment equity candidates will be prioritized in line with our Employment Equity targets .<\/p>\n
\nNational Diploma and ICAO recognized AIS Course(s)<\/p>\n
