This position exists to ensure that engineering resources are utilised to maintain the plant as planned.<\/p>\n

Job Title: ENGINEERING FOREMAN<\/strong>

Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Health and Safety:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements<\/p>\n

Promote safety performance<\/p>\n

Conduct risk assessments<\/p>\n

Do planned task observations<\/p>\n

Conduct safety meetings<\/p>\n

Ensure team members wear PPE<\/p>\n

Investigate incidents\/accidents<\/p>\n

Co-ordinator:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Liaises with Engineering & Production staff<\/p>\n

Evaluates condition monitoring status<\/p>\n

Issuing of work schedules and job cards<\/p>\n

Ensures maintenance planning<\/p>\n

Issues requisitions for spares as require<\/p>\n

Administration:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keeps filing system for job cards<\/p>\n

Prepares standby lists<\/p>\n

Compiles weekly artisan utilisation reports<\/p>\n

Prepares month end report for engineer<\/p>\n

Generates cost report to site manager<\/p>\n

Managing the Team:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select and appoint competent and passionate people<\/p>\n

Assign work<\/p>\n

Monitor performance & maintain discipline<\/p>\n

Train and develop team members<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nQUALIFICATIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n

N3 Electrical\/ Mechanical Engineering subjects<\/p>\n

Trade Test MQA\/MERSETA preferred<\/p>\n

Basic Coal Preparation Certificate<\/p>\n

EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n

At least 2 years Learnership\/Apprentice in Mining or Construction<\/p>\n

Artisan 3-5 Years in Mining or Construction<\/p>\n

SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Knowledge of policy\/procedures.<\/p>\n

Knowledge of audits.<\/p>\n

Conducting of risk assessments.<\/p>\n

How to do planned task observations.<\/p>\n

Knowledge on how to investigate incidents\/accidents.<\/p>\n

Basic understanding of planned maintenance documentation and procedures.<\/p>\n

Basic planning skills.<\/p>\n

Basic administration skills.<\/p>\n

Basic computer skills.<\/p>\n

Selection techniques on staff.<\/p>\n

Good verbal communication.<\/p>\n

Engagement with people.<\/p>\n
