\nMaintain, develop and operationally manage the Warranties and Service Plans
\nSales channels to ensure profitable growth of the business. Manage a team of
\nAccount Managers to ensure effective Partner management to ensure quality
\nservice delivery to customers.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop a personal network within the business sector and represent the
\norganization at business sector events. Obtain market intelligence and enhance
\nthe visibility and reputation of the organization, its products, and its services.
\nUse customer and data insight from, the market, our sales funnel, competitors,
\nand claims to inform motor warranties and motor service plans for growth
\nopportunities.
\nApproach the motor warranties and motor service plans product life cycle with a
\nstrategic mindset to allow for development of successful plans to attract and
\nretain new customers.
\nMaintain a big picture focus while working with the actuarial team, using complex
\ndata and\/or reports, to support management decisions in the areas of pricing,
\nsegmentation, underwriting standards, growth, and claims handling.
\nRemain current with the motor warranties and service plans landscape,
\ncompetitors, changes in the industry and potential new opportunities for offerings
\nand pricing position.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop and implement a relationship management plan for existing customer
\naccounts to identify and build relationships with relevant decision makers and
\ninfluencers within the customer organization and to enable effective two-way
\nflow of information and resolution of issues. Collect feedback from identified
\ncustomers or customer segments to ensure their needs are met, providing
\nthemes, summary analyses, and recommendations for changes based on
\ncustomer input.
\nDevelop and maintain positive relationships with Partners.
\nIdentify improvement areas and implement corrective measures.
\nSource strategic partnership opportunities to extend channel distribution for
\nWarranties and Service Plans.<\/p>\n
\nDeliver specified projects while working within an established program
\nmanagement plan.
\nResponsible for end to end project management of warranties initiatives.
\nDrive project team to meet timelines and successful implementation.
\nUse strong project and time management skills, act with accountability,
\nownership and accuracy to ensure the Warranties portfolio experiences growth
\nand is profitable.<\/p>\n
\nAnalyze current performance inhibitors and propose solutions to ensure
\nbusiness continuity.<\/p>\n
\nExplain the local action plan to support team members in their understanding of
\nwhat needs to be done and and how this relates to the broader business plan
\nand the organization’s strategy, mission and vision; motivate people to achieve
\nlocal business goals.<\/p>\n
\nRespond to personal objectives and use performance management systems to
\nimprove personal performance. Monitor the performance of the team; allocate
\nwork and review completion, take appropriate corrective action to ensure
\ntimeliness and quality; contribute to formal individual performance management
\nand appraisal.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development
\nplanning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop
\nand maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and
\nindustry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and
\nreading specialist media.
\nAttend training interventions and apply training, initiative, and process changes.
\nLook for ways to improve competency or drive results to ensure continuous and
\nconstant improvement.<\/p>\n
\nIdentify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems
\nand procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change
\nmanagement program with guidance from a project\/program manager.
\nLeverage all available information from Partners, the industry, and internally to
\nensure regular review of departmental processes, systems and protocols to
\nimprove efficiencies.<\/p>\n
\nMaintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization’s
\npolicies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct,
\nand ensure own work adheres to required standards. Identify, within the team,
\npatterns of non-compliance with the organization’s policies and procedures, and
\nwith relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to
\nreport and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.<\/p>\n
\nContribute to the design and creation of reporting strategies and templates. Lead
\nexecution of complex reports, identifying and interpreting complex patterns and
\ntrends, and translating those insights into actionable recommendations.
\nRegularly report to VAPSCO on performance of Warranties and Service Plans
\nchannel.<\/p>\n
\nGeneral Education:<\/strong>
\nGrade 12\/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential)
\nBCom or similar qualification (Essential);
\nFAIS recognized qualification (Advantageous)
\nRegulatory Examination (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
\n3 \u2013 5 years broker sales experience within the Financial Services Industry (Essential);<\/p>\n
\n1 or more years experience of supervising and directing people and other
\nresources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes (Essential)<\/p>\n
