\nWe are looking to appoint a Student Support & Development Advisor for the CA Connect programmes. This role provides a full range of support and development services to enrich student life and promote student wellbeing and strengthen academic results and resilience. In this role you will facilitate both proactive and reactive interventions that empower students with support and development that increases their chances of success on the programme. The role is focused on both individual support and community development. This role works alongside the Operations and Academic teams and reports directly to the Head of Student Experience.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022Provide academic, psychosocial and student life support and development to CA Connect students.
\n\u2022Support students with the development of study plans and study skills.
\n\u2022Act as a point of contact for student support and development needs.
\n\u2022Respond to and resolve student queries in a timely manner, while demonstrating the core values of the CA Connect community.
\n\u2022Provide frontline support service, in identifying and resolving student issues, and where specialist service interventions have been identified, ensure that the necessary referrals are made efficiently and
\nprofessionally to the relevant stakeholders.
\n\u2022Identify important or urgent issues and ensure that they are escalated appropriately to the relevant stakeholders and\/or intervention prepared and implemented.
\n\u2022Monitor student academic performance and engagement.
\n\u2022Identify and monitor at-risk students.
\n\u2022Prepare and implement various interventions, based on student need, for students (in line with student health and wellness, academic support and student life) for delivery via a variety of mechanisms.
\n\u2022Develop appropriate and effective ways of communicating with students and staff.
\n\u2022Deliver orientation for new intakes
\n\u2022Develop a strong community of learning amongst CA Connect students.
\n\u2022Design and facilitate peer support and peer-assisted learning systems.
\n\u2022Facilitate student leadership bodies.
\n\u2022Manage the design and implementation of the CA Connect Mentorship programme.
\n\u2022Contribute to the planning for the continuous improvement of the CA Connect student experience.
\n\u2022Facilitate improved awareness of student performance, engagement and community KPI\u2019s with the academics supporting the CA Connect programmes to empower them to improve and adapt academic
\ninterventions where appropriate<\/p>\n
\nEducation & Experience Requirements
\n\u2022Relevant 4-year degree in Psychology
\n\u2022Preferred BPsych or BPsych Equivalent degree and registration as a Registered Counsellor
\n\u2022Advanced computer literacy skills, including online systems
\n\u20222 years of full-time experience, preferably within the field of Higher Education.
\n\u2022Highly developed relationship building \/ interpersonal skills
\n\u2022Excellent written and spoken communication skills<\/p>\n
\n\u2022A passion for student support and development
\n\u2022Deeply cares about the people they work with, and the work they do
\n\u2022Self-motivated and holds themselves to a standard of excellence when completing tasks
