\nSalary: <\/strong>Market Related<\/p>\n
\nThe Research Nurse will be responsible for recruiting and enrolling participants for the research study according to the protocol, drawing blood specimen, performing health assessments, monitor vital signs, providing on-going risk-reduction counselling to participants, arranging follow up assessments for participants when necessary and referring participants to OHS for further assessment and management when required. The Research Nurse will manage and administer data collection tools, compile and submit study case reports (CRFs) and source documents timeously, manage the data and filing system as per SOPs, manage the retention of participants, contact participants prior to visits and Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed legislation.<\/p>\n
\nProvide comprehensive, safe and effective evidence based clinical procedures to achieve identified health outcomes
\nManage daily activities required for the implementation of the research study
\nFulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with the South African Nursing Council and the Health
\nProfessions Council of South Africa
\nEnforce the rights of all participants and maintain cultural sensitivity
\nPlan and evaluate clinical procedures in consultation with the multidisciplinary team
\nProvide progress reports and recommendations on increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of processes
\nRequirements<\/p>\n
\nQualification:<\/strong>
\nDiploma or Bachelor of Nursing Degree<\/p>\n
\nMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience in HIV\/AIDS and TB related accountabilities
\nKnowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
\nFluency in Zulu, Xhosa, Sotho, Sepedi or Tswana
\nValid Driver\u2019s License and own vehicle<\/p>\n
\nMinimum 2 years\u2019 related experience and\/or training
\nMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience in clinical or public health research
\nExtensive counselling experience
\nOther Requirements
\nRegistration with the South African Nursing Council
\nGood Clinical Practice Certificate
\nHIV\/AIDS Counselling and Management Certificate<\/p>\n
