\u2022The Vice-Chancellor and Principal is the Chief Executive Officer of the university and reports to the University Council.
\n\u2022Implement the policies of the University Council and to ensure that the University\u2019s resources are used in ways that most effectively advance the approved mission and strategic plan of the University.
\n\u2022To provide strategic direction, effective administration and operational management, financial sustainability, and support to the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) on academic and support services matters.
\n\u2022To provide direction, support and assistance to Council on all governance issues and the business needs of the institution<\/p>\n

\nMinimum Qualification\/ Knowledge and\/or Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n\u2022At least fifteen years of executive \/ senior managerial experience in a higher education environment
\n\u2022Academic teaching experience with evidence of excellence in research and teaching
\n\u2022Accredited scholarly publications
\n\u2022Academic credibility as recognised by peers and the business environment
\n\u2022Extensive knowledge in areas of leadership \/ strategy \/ management and research<\/p>\n
\n\u2022In addition to a Doctorate, a qualification in management, or equivalent.
\n\u2022An NRF-rating of at least a \u201cC\u201d
\n\u2022Member of a relevant professional body<\/p>\n
