\nProvide advisory governance and monitoring services which support and deliver
\nongoing compliance solutions in accordance with all applicable legislation and in
\nline with the strategy of the statutory compliance function. Perform general legal
\nwork in order to reduce business risk.<\/p>\n
\nManage a portfolio of compliance assignments, ensuring that the team plans
\nand delivers compliance that cover identified risk areas and that appropriate
\ncorrective actions are agreed on with business. Resolve issues arising from
\ncompliance activities and refer serious or contentious issues to the management.
\nIdentify any compliance risks and take immediate remedial action.
\nParticipate in compliance activities in line with the compliance risk management
\nand monitoring plan.
\nMonitor any changes to processes that may have an impact on compliance to
\nlegislation, and report these to the Senior Manager: Compliance.<\/p>\n
\nFollow the reporting strategies and templates. Execution of complex reports,
\nidentifying and interpreting complex patterns and trends, and translating those
\ninsights into actionable recommendations.
\nEnsuring Group compliance with relevant legislation through ongoing analysis and reporting. Report
\non the compliance status of the Group internally to the
\nGeneral Manager, Executive Heads, Group Chiefs and key
\nindividuals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Drive
\nutilization of the various compliance systems to enhance
\nreporting.<\/p>\n
\nInvestigate all kinds of incidents and reports, and provide expert advice to more senior colleagues.
\nIdentify and minimize risk exposures and ensure adherence with regulatory
\nstandards by working with all internal functions to make sure compliance
\nprograms are properly implemented.
\nAssist with with the development and implementation of the compliance risk
\nmanagement and monitoring plan.
\nEnsuring that all products as well as new products comply with relevant legislation.<\/p>\n
\nContribute to stakeholder engagement through identifying
\nstakeholders, finding out their needs\/issues\/concern and
\nreacting to these by arranging meetings and events and
\ndrafting supporting materials to promote understanding and commitment. Build
\nrelationships with various internal and external stakeholders. Keep all
\nstakeholders informed of regulatory requirements, changes and deadlines.<\/p>\n
\nIdentify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems
\nand procedures, then delivers a plan for a small element of a change
\nmanagement program with guidance from a project\/program manager.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development
\nplanning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or
\nmaintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve
\nperformance and fulfill personal potential. Keeping abreast with amendments to legislation, industry trends and best practice and maintain an understanding of
\nrelevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through
\nongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.<\/p>\n
\nContribute to the identification and evaluation of current
\npolicies and business processes that are in the scope of the Compliance
\nManagement System; contribute to the design of the CMS; provide specialist
\ncompliance management input to the drafting of new policies and procedures,
\nand design of business processes; contribute to the quantification of the costs
\nand business benefits of change. Manage and maintain an effective compliance
\nsystem. Drive delivery of compliance automation.<\/p>\n
\nHelp develop policies and procedures for an area of the organization or the
\ngroup as a whole, and monitor their implementation.
\nDrive an awareness of these policies and procedures and ensure training is
\nundertaken throughout the organisation on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n
\nGather and report on information on existing contract performance and provide
\nas input to the new contract process for negotiations\/renegotiations.
\nEnsure contracts meet all compliance requirements and where required,
\nnotifications have been actioned.
\nIdentify trends, summarize findings, and give feedback on existing contract
\nrequirements, and provide input to ensure compliance in contract processes.<\/p>\n
\nGrade 12\/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential); BProc\/LLB Degree or other
\nequivalent degree (Essential); Registration as Compliance Officer with the FSCA
