Job Title: New Business Development Consultant<\/strong>

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Prospecting for new business by opportunity identification, area and business review, making telephonic contact and cold calling
\n\u2022Qualifying potential clients in terms of requirements (volumes, distribution areas, current providers, cargo types etc.) then submitting these to Sales manager for consideration in the form of a sales filter
\n\u2022Develop and update knowledge of your own and competitors service offerings
\n\u2022Gathering market intelligence \/ information in terms of freight service opportunities, competitor activities and reports, accordingly
\n\u2022Determine Customer needs and demonstrate Triton\u2019s services to them to suite their requirements, adding value to their business
\n\u2022Formally present the business proposal
\n\u2022Negotiate prices and credit terms
\n\u2022Work on continuously improving marketing strategies
\n\u2022Achieve agreed sales targets
\n\u2022Plan, organise, follow up and communicate progress to client effectively
\n\u2022Input of work to optimise the operations department capability
\n\u2022Update leads to PENTAGON
\n\u2022Effective management of PENTAGON system & processes
\n\u2022Handling client enquires, queries and problems and facilitating resolutions
\n\u2022Conducting monthly and weekly service call visitations
\n\u2022Identifying and capitalizing on service \/ sale extension opportunities
\n\u2022Advising rate increases and processing procedural changes
\n\u2022Building client relationships at all levels
\n\u2022Monitor Client activity
\n\u2022Ensure that all information from sales is detailed and accurate
\n\u2022Generate accurate quotes for all work requirements
\n\u2022Preparing \/ submitting weekly new business reports
\n\u2022Monitoring credit applications submitted for approval and expediting same
\n\u2022Preparing recommended proposals for Sales manager\u2019s approval
\n\u2022Ensuring that all necessary measures are in place to guarantee Customer satisfaction<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Grade 12 minimum (matric)
\n\u20223 – 4 Years sales experience
\n\u2022MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications
\n\u2022Understanding of Freightware or similar management systems
\n\u2022Basic understanding of freight processes
\n\u2022Computer operations
\n\u2022New business development (prospecting\/cold calling)
\n\u2022Account management
\n\u2022Advanced selling skills
\n\u2022Commercial arithmetic calculations
\n\u2022Writing progress reports \/ proposals
\n\u2022Conduct formal presentations
\n\u2022Own transport to and from work<\/p>\n
