Job Title: Academic Manager<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nThe Academic Manager of the campus is responsible for all aspects of academic operations, teaching and learning, student support and integrated quality assurance on campus.<\/p>\n

Educational Requirements:<\/strong>
\nBachelor\u2019s degree or preferable an Honours Degree
\nMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in an academic management in a tertiary environment
\nKnowledge of regulatory bodies (DHET, CHE, SAQA,QCTO, SETA\u2019s, UMALUSI , ICB, SABPP etc
\nKnowledge of regulatory accreditation criteria of CHE
\nKnowledge of QCTO and SETA processes and requirements for accreditation
\nExperience in academic operations in particular
\nComputer literate<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nManage all lecturing staff, timetabling, the delivery of academic calendar and assessments to assure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of the programmes offered at the campus
\nResponsible for efficient implementation of all academic activities at campus level
\nEnsure campus is compliant with all accreditation criteria in HET and FET spaces
\nLiaise with head office and maintain academic and institutional compliance
\nEnsure policies and procedures are maintained to ensure learning programs are conceptualized, developed and introduced in higher education band
\nRegister and comply with relevant regulatory body instructions
\nMaintain all academic processes, procedures and systems to ensure legislative accreditation is maintained
\nManage product development and oversee departmental budgets
\nManage and oversee activities of faculties
\nManage examiner, moderator and marker database to ensure academic integrity and excellence
\nManage assessment processes and facilities
\nStaff development and training
\nProvide academic leadership and facilitate research and development<\/p>\n
