Provide safe secure and timely driving services for the day-to-day operations of the Company, including driving the mobile units to ensure access of HIV prevention and testing services to employees outside the workplace. This position is responsible for proper running and maintenance of the vehicle.<\/p>\n

\nTechnical Work Responsibilities
\nMaintenance of Company Vehicle
\nProvide safe transport services for all business requirements
\nManage the maintenance of the company vehicles and units
\nAssist with any other activities at the testing sites as per line management
\nAssist with HIV and TB testing
\nDrive vehicle for official travel and business, or as requested
\nImplement punctuality and safe transport sound navigation skills
\nObserve road and traffic laws and regulations
\nAdhere to safe driving practices including local driving codes and internally agreed standards
\nEnsure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by official manufacturers specifications
\nLogbook maintenance
\nLog official trips, daily mileage, petrol consumption, oil changes etc<\/p>\n
\nLiaise with all internal and external stakeholders when necessary, towards the achievement of company and departmental goals
\nProvide safe transport services for all business requirements
\nManage the maintenance of the company vehicles and units
\nVehicle is clean, tidy and in excellent working condition at all times
\nVehicle is always secure
\nDaily maintenance checks: fuel, oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres, etc.
\nArrange for any necessary repairs and services, manage the vehicle spare parts inventory list
\nPrepare and submit vehicle monitoring report, including records of vehicle operations, maintenance, expenses, mileage, fuel and oil consumption
\nManage the Logbook
\nPerforms all routine maintenance and interior cleaning services for the mobile unit
\nImplement punctuality and safe transport sound navigation skills
\nObserve road and traffic laws and regulations
\nAdhere to safe driving practices including local driving codes and internally agreed standards
\nConduct TB symptom screening on all clinic attendees utilising the Department of Health standardised form of TB screening
\nIdentify TB suspects and record them into the TB suspect registers
\nRefer TB suspects to the counsellors for voluntary counselling and testing for HIV
\nProvide pre-test and post-test counselling (if required)
\nPerform HIV testing (if required)
\nVerify identified TB suspects have been investigated for TB
\nAssist with participant flow and the setup at the site
\nAdhere to the relevant procedures with regards to participant confidentiality
\nManage TB suspect register
\nTimeous reporting on all project activities utilising predefined indicators
\nPerform quality control on recording and reporting procedures including checking data collection tools for accuracy
\nAssist with the stock take of medical supplies
\nParticipate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
\nIdentify areas of development and implement approved recommendations
\nComply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed legislation
\nReport all unsafe activities to Senior Management\/Human Resources
\nAdhere to decision making procedures<\/p>\n
\nEducation:<\/strong>
\nHigh School diploma\/Gr 12 (NQF Level 4)<\/p>\n
\n3 years driving experience<\/p>\n
\nValid code A Driver\u2019s license
\nValid Professional Drivers Permit (PDP)
\nUnderstanding of specimen handling and transportation
\nFluency in local languages (Zulu, Setswana, English, SeSotho, Xhosa, Afrikaans)
\nPractical experience with Road Legislation
\nSA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
\nWilling to work overtime<\/p>\n
