Job Title: Corporate Underwriter – Short Term Insurance<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Client:<\/strong> Business processes:<\/strong> oGeneral Enquiries such as but not limited to cover, products, processes etc.<\/p>\n oNew Business, Renewals, Endorsements and Re-broke oCancellations:<\/strong> Refunds:<\/strong> \u2022Ensure claims are managed according to set processes Learning and growth:<\/strong> \u2022Matric or equivalent MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022A minimum of 5 years Corporate Underwriting experience<\/p>\n

\n\u2022Take appropriate action to minimise cancellations
\n\u2022Ensure retention targets are met
\n\u2022Ensure and contribute to minimisation of general expenses<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Ensure that all stakeholder (e.g. user, service provider) communication is accurate, timeous, professional and relevant
\n\u2022Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
\n\u2022Ensure and contribute to achieving own and company required client satisfaction targets<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Adhere to company quality standards and broader regulatory frameworks wrt the following processes (but not limited to):<\/p>\n
\n.Create a risk profile
\n.Analyse clients\u2019 portfolios
\n.Conduct a cover assessment
\n.Request, obtain and assess quotes from insurers
\n.Request, obtain and\/or provide clients with all required information and\/or documents
\n.Arrange valuations and reinsurance
\n.Raise premiums
\n.File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy
\n.Obtain and check policy wording from insurers and forward to client<\/p>\n
\n.Follow retention processes
\n.Cancel the policy on the system
\n.Confirm cancellation request with the client
\n.File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy<\/p>\n
\n.Raise invoices
\n.Request refunds from line manager electronically
\n.File all relevant documentation electronically and in hard copy<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Keep diary up to date at all times
\n\u2022Ensure that surveys and valuations are received within agreed time lines
\n\u2022Ensure effective complaint resolution within the required time lines
\n\u2022Ensure service level agreements are met
\n\u2022Ensure productivity targets are met
\n\u2022Contribute towards and ensure continuous improvement in own and team performance
\n\u2022Attend meetings where required
\n\u2022Adhere to company mandates
\n\u2022Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects
