\nThe Senior Traffic Exec is responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of the sales action, after a sale has been signed and before billing. This role requires that the individual communicates with a wide spectrum of people inter alia advertisers, agencies, Mediamark offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town as well as the various Stations\/Channels within the Mediamark portfolio to ensure smooth execution of Advertiser campaign.<\/p>\n
\nDuties & Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nAs a Senior Traffic Executive within the team, you will be required to assist with training colleagues or new staff members and you will be allocated the more challenging sales portfolios<\/p>\n
\nCo-ordinate various aspects of the sales action, after a sale has been signed and before billing.
\nTroubleshoot all aspect of the list below. Offer compensation and any other solution to maximize revenue:
\n-processing of airtime orders, flightings and audio\/assets
\n-management of logs
\n-commitments, incentives, discounts, added value, rate changes
\n-partner station NTR bookings
\n-preferential spots, features, packages, Unsold Inventory, and live reads
\n-Cancellations
\n-Compensation
\n-Proof of Broadcast
\n-Short deadlines
\n-inventory and management info<\/p>\n
\n-Generic orders to be processed within 24 hours
\n-Flightings to be actioned within 24 hours
\n-Accuracy
\n-Notes to be placed on orders on TBS to enable continuity of service
\n-All campaign correspondence to be inserted on TBS order
\n-Log management as per standard deadlines and according to Stations programming format
\n-Manage Bulk Volume Incentive commitment deals for your portfolio
\n-Inform AE, PM and Management of possible amendments\/cancellations that will affect revenue
\n-Manage proof of broadcast requests. Report back to advertiser\/agency with results within 2 working days
\n-Notify Client of compensation due and update compensation status in System within 24 hours
\n-Assist Finance with account queries on your portfolio \u2013 24 hours
\n-Manage short deadlines. Able to multitask and prioritise
\n-Supply Management with Sales figures as set out in Roster
\n-Understand inventory utilisation. Oversold situations to be reported to Head of Execution
\n-Place bookings based on programming format set out by each Station\/Channel.<\/p>\n
\n-Offer alternatives for feature and or Programme Availability
\n-Placement of added value according to advertiser\u2019s campaign objectives within Added value parameters set out in Empowerment Grid
\n-Allocation of Discounts according to parameters set out in Empowerment Grid<\/p>\n
\n-Update TBS Stock according to Features list supplied by Station
\n-Update TBS stock for Public Holidays as per format supplied by Station<\/p>\n
\n-processing of airtime orders, flightings, and audio\/Assets;
\n-commitments, incentives, discounts, added value, rate changes
\n-NTR, creative concepts, preferential spots, features, packages, Unsold inventory, and live reads
\n-cancellations
\n-short deadlines

\n-Order confirmations to be sent to agency\/client once processed and any discrepancies to be clearly communicated. E.g.
\n-Cost\/Rate differences
\n-Duration
\n-Dates
\n-Discounts allocated
\n-Added Value placement
\n-Pref\/Live Read\/Feature loadings
\n-Preferred placements
\n-Alternative placements\/programming
\n-Follow up with agency\/client to ensure that discrepancy is cleared prior to billing campaign at month end. Involve AE and Execution Head if needed.
\n-Inform Advertiser\/Agency off any programming changes that will affect campaign booked and offer alternatives.
\n-Source flighting codes and audio for campaigns booked as per cart report.
\n-Listen to audio and check that audio complies with minimum specifications.
\n-Get approval from Station\/Channel on audio\/assets that does not comply as per checklist.
\n-Liaise with Traffic staff at Stations with regards to bookings and flightings received after log has been exported to ensure Manual additions\/changes are actioned.
\n-All communication to be confirmed in writing for auditing purposes.
\n-Liaise with Station Partners on all elements needed for NTR Projects and Specific Log times required from Stations
\n-Liaise with Finance on opening of accounts and cash upfront payments
\n-Act as Back up on Portfolio and Logs as per Work allocation Document<\/p>\n
\n-TBS or Similar system experience an advantage
\n-Computer literacy with proficiency in MS suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint etc)<\/p>\n
\n-Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to follow projects through to completion
\n-Ability to execute requests with high speed of implementation and high accuracy at short notice
\n-Proven ability to prioritise and meet all deadlines
\n-Ability to function independently and take a structured approach to tasks
\n-Ability to work independently within your portfolio but still function as part of a team
\n-Ability to work under pressure and high stress tolerance level
\n-Extended working hours without additional remuneration<\/p>\n
