\nThe Renal Care Specialist will be responsible for ensuring all unit quality audits are done
\nand the improvement of patient outcomes for the area under their management. Render
\nand promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance with hospital
\nstandards and policies.<\/p>\n

\nEnsure that all patient clinical records are maintained and updated in accordance with the
\ndeadlines, policies & procedures and the NRC standards.
\nEnsure that all financial policies and procedures are followed in the unit i.e. confirmation,
\nbilling, private patients, stock, waste etc.
\nManage and maintain all medical equipment in accordance with NRC\u2019s technical policies
\nand procedures.
\nEnsure that all NRC quality initiative programs are utilised for the patients under your
\nmanagement.
\nTo provide optimal patient care as per the nursing scope of practice and NRC\u2019s clinical
\ncare pathways
\nImprovement of Patient outcomes (QI\u2019s) for the area under your management
\nSubmission and usability of standard monthly clinical reports as per the clinical
\ndepartment\u2019s requirements with the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act.
\nThe effective functioning of the training academy in your area i.e. all programs are
\nimplemented and are being trained in line with the training schedule.
\nUnit Manager clinical training i.e. Implementation of focused clinical training based on the
\nclinical results of the unit.
\nThe complete implementation of the following in the area under management: i.e. Clinical
\nNeeds Analysis, Clinical training plan\/In-Service Training, Patient Education and
\nResearch,
\nEnsure compliance to Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies and
\nprocedures in the units under your management.
\nDemonstrate the National Renal Care Values and Caring the Netcare Way in all my
\nbehaviour

\nREQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE:<\/strong>
\nRegistration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse\/ Midwife or
\nRegistration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice)
\nNephrology Nursing Diploma or Btech is essential.
\nRelevant experience in the nursing discipline
\nCapacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all
\naccredited bodies and appropriate health legislation<\/p>\n
