Job Title: Underground Diesel Mechanic<\/strong>
\nLocation:<\/strong> Barberton, Mpumalanga, South Africa
\nReference #:<\/strong> UDM2022-04
\nContract Type:<\/strong> Permanent
\nSalary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong>
\nMaintain and inspect equipment according to OEM, Mine Health and Safety Act and prescribed performance requirements.<\/p>\n

Main Role Outcomes:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical \/ electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
\n\u2022Quality control of repairs
\n\u2022Attend to breakdowns electrical and mechanical fault finding
\n\u2022Monitor and instruct outside service providers performing repairs
\n\u2022Carrying out routine inspections
\n\u2022Do planned and unplanned maintenance
\n\u2022Detect Mechanical and Electrical Faults
\n\u2022Perform checks on a regular basis and detects possible faults
\n\u2022Improvises necessary solutions as and when needed<\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong>
\nMinimum Requirements:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Grade 12 Certificate
\n\u2022Qualified with trade papers (section 13 or 26D)
\n\u2022Code 8 Drivers License
\n\u2022Minimum 5 years Diesel Mechanic experience
\n\u2022Experience working on Trackless Mobile Machinery
\n\u2022Welding experience
\n\u2022Own Transport as position requires standby
\n\u2022Valid certificate of physical fitness
\n\u2022Ability to read and write in English<\/p>\n
