\nDeliver and support sound quality of claims decision making, prevent fraud and
\nmanage expenditure through the validation of claims by using expert abilities in
\nvarious fields of investigation.<\/p>\n
\nExplore issues or needs, establishing potential causes and barriers as well as
\nrelated issues. Validate claims by investigating, applying expertise, utilizing
\nresources (e.g. police, supplier etc.) and interviewing customers as well as other parties.
\nAnalyze specific problems and issues to
\nfind the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.<\/p>\n
\nAsk questions, collect data from a variety of sources, analyse information and
\ninvestigate claim. Ensure effective costing of claimed items through ensuring
\nprofessional, thorough investigation of claims.
\nMake decisions according to established criteria to ensure standardization
\nacross the organisation by accurately administrating and underwriting claims.
\nUse appropriate tools (ITC, supplier contract and\/or negotiation) to accurately
\ncost applicable claims on a day to day basis.<\/p>\n
\nProvide a quality service to customers while identifying opportunities to secure
\nnew business or support retention. Responsibilities may include processing
\ncases, dealing with complex queries and investigating and resolving customer problems.
\nUphold agreed service level agreements (set turnaround times) and ensuring
\ncustomer satisfaction and retention.<\/p>\n
\nEffectively build, maintain and manage relationships with service providers and
\nsuppliers, colleagues, internal and external customers.<\/p>\n
\nContribute to optimize work practices and procedures by maintaining an
\nacceptable workload in order to get the job done, coordinating with support services.
\nEnsure claims are finalized within the set parameters (turnaround time, terms
\nand conditions applied accurately).<\/p>\n
\nProduce, update and provide best practice support to customers on the claims
\nadministration process and other departmental systems, in line with claims
\npolicy, rules and SLAs.
\nEnsure accurate administration and underwriting of claims.
\nMaintain an acceptable claims expenditure
\nratio by finalizing and adjusting claims accurately.<\/p>\n
\nIdentify shortcomings in compliance processes, systems and procedures, and
\ndevelop ad hoc solutions to problems within an assigned unit or discipline.<\/p>\n
\nIdentify a selection of products or services that may meet the customer’s
\nrequirements, explain the product\/service features influence the customer to add
\nadditional cover.<\/p>\n
\nDevelop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development
\nplanning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop
\nand maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and
\nindustry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and
\nreading specialist media.
\nRemain up to date with current and new quality standards and product
\nknowledge to enable effective decision making.
\nRequirements
\nGeneral Education
\nGrade 12\/ SAQA Accredited Equivalent (Essential);
\nRegulatory Examination (Essential); Science (Mechanical \/ Physical),
\nMathematics and African Language (Advantageous); Forensic Investigation
\nDiploma \/ Insurance Institute qualification (Advantageous)<\/p>\n
\n5 or more years work experience in any investigative work OR 2 or more years
\nwork experience within one or more of the following fields: insurance \/ police \/
\nforensic \/ audit \/ legal (Essential)<\/p>\n
\nits subsidiaries with certified evidence that their qualification(s) meet the
\nequivalent NQF level required for this role at time of application. As a registered
