Job Title: Liaison Officer Senior Citizen<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Key Performance Areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n Planning and organising of events at various senior citizen venues Marketing of AVBOB:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Present AVBOB\u2019s services and products to senior citizens and other potential customers \/ clients. Collaboration and networking with peers, colleagues, funeral agents and stakeholders<\/p>\n \u2022Develop and foster strong business relationships with the community, retirement institutions, nursing homes, ambulance services, hospitals, churches, associations, social clubs ( Senior Citizens) and stakeholders of other entities assigned. Administration of new business, policy service:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Submit monthly event plan to the Area Manager: Funeral Service and the Senior Liaison Officer Requirements:<\/strong> Knowledge and Experience:<\/strong> Technical And Behavioural Competencies:<\/strong>

\nThe main purpose of the position is to increase funeral insurance business and funeral business, by providing relevant services and information to pensioners retirement establishments and other facilities, through the establishment of relationships between funeral agents and other possible new business sources such as retirement facilities, churches and similar organizations.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Identify objectives of the event and determine the requirements that must be met to accomplish the objectives set.
\n\u2022Prepare a schedule of monthly events and meetings with pensioners and management at the different institutions (Retirement villages\/homes, nursing homes, hospitals, associations and other organisations).
\n\u2022Manages relationships with all key-note stakeholders maintaining AVBOB\u2019S high standards.
\n\u2022Ensure that events are rolled out within the approved budget allocations.
\n\u2022Provide consolidated feedback to the management of the institution regarding attendance, services provided, etc.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Provide professional advice (according to FAIS requirements) to these potential clients
\n\u2022Follow- up on leads provided for funerals and other services
\n\u2022Do mass presentations to stakeholders.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Continuously create and form new relationships with relevant stakeholders
\n\u2022Liaise with all parties concerned ( Area Manager, Funeral Agent, Snr Liaison Officer, Management of the institution concerned, etc.
\n\u2022Pro-actively solve possible complaints and conflicts and address issues that may occur by investigating issues and provide feedback timeously to stakeholders
\n\u2022Liaise with the Funeral Agent and Senior Liaison Officer to provide information and support business
\n\u2022Build sound relationships with funeral agent through meetings, provide leads and support their business
\n\u2022Maintain cintact with institutions on a monthly basis to determine current client base at the facilities
\n\u2022Market AVBOB products by visiting the facilities to increase our market share.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Collect, analyse and utilise data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve relationships between all stakeholders and new business
\n\u2022Prepare and submit monthly reports on the executed, clients served, etc.
\n\u2022Compile handouts \u2013 Life file with all the necessary information and documentation to hand out at the events
\n\u2022Obtain the value of a policy and provide feedback ( in-person) to the client
\n\u2022Adjust policies as required by the client
\n\u2022Follow-up on outstanding issues
\n\u2022Collection of premiums at the institutions
\n\u2022Reconciliation of expenditure and premiums collected
\n\u2022Follow-up on the issuing of new policies, etc.<\/p>\n
\nMinimum Qualifications:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Grade 12
\n\u2022Relevant marketing qualification<\/p>\n
\n\u20223 Years experience of opening sources
\n\u2022Knowledge of the funeral and\/ or insurance industry or old age facilities<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Knowledge of all AVBOB products
\n\u2022Ability to create rapport, interact and work with senior citizens and other relevant stakeholders
\n\u2022Acquainted with facilities (Retirement Villages\/ Homes\/ Nursing Homes\/Hospitals) in the assigned area of work
\n\u2022Behaves consistently with clear personal values which complement those of the organisation.<\/p>\n
