\n1.Identify and prioritizing the most relevant current, proposed an impending legislation and if (and to the extent) that these are found to have an impact on the company, the development and implementation of controls to minimize the compliance risk (for example implanting standard operating procedures or processes, manuals and policies).
\n2.Identify and assess changes in the existing regulatory framework.
\n3.Monitor and report non-compliance to management of the company and where appropriate, the Board.
\n4.Recommend corrective measures or steps to ensure compliance.
\n5.Monitor compliance through the adequacy and effectiveness of control measures to actively monitor and manage the company\u2019s compliance with relevant legislation on a continual basis.
\n6.Report to both the Audit and Risk Committee and the Social and Ethics Committee of Octodec, were required.
\n7.Create awareness with employees and training them on the finer aspects of the regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n
\n1.Provide legal advice to the Human Resources Department on labour matters.
\n2.Act as initiator for all disciplinary enquiries.
\n3.Provide all the administrative support for the disciplinary hearings.
\n4.Represent the company at all CCMA cases.<\/p>\n
\n1.Draft and review all legal agreements.
\n2.Provide legal resolutions on all commercial matters.
\n3.Provide legal support in all acquisitions and sales of buildings.
\n4.Ensure all properties are registered successfully.
\n5.Review and liaise with the Property Managers on all bank guarantees.<\/p>\n
\n1.Advise on and drafting of \u201cdeal specific\u201d clauses, agreements and correspondence.
\n2.Assist with queries and interpretation of existing lease documentation.
\n3.Interpret lease agreement and resolve queries on interpretation issues.
\n4.Draft standard lease agreement, annexures, addendums and the like.<\/p>\n

\nEducation Requirements and Experience:<\/strong>
\n1.LLB Degree – Required
\n2.At least 3 years\u2019 post admission experience; ideally in a leading organisation, with a proven track record in contract negotiation and drafting – Required
