\nRESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:<\/strong>
\nOversee the Social programs:<\/strong>
\n\u2022Oversees the internal social programs team.
\n\u2022Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation pertaining to Social programs with specific reference as it pertains to the Society\u2019s BBBEE rating.
\n\u2022Do research around other successful corporate social programs nationally and internationally.
\nManage the corporate social environment function of AVBOB:
\n\u2022Formulate and maintain the Corporate Social Investment (CSI) charter.
\n\u2022Manage the administrative functions pertaining to the CSI function.
\n\u2022Give guidance to the personnel in the department on CSI projects and outcomes to be achieved.
\n\u2022Take responsibility for all major CSI projects in terms of management, coordination with the rest of the organization and successful implementation of the projects.
\n\u2022Manage the smooth running of the CSI committee.
\nManage the Enterprise and Supplier Development program:
\n\u2022Develop an Enterprise and Supplier Development (ESD) strategy for recommendation to General Manager.
\n\u2022Establish long term relationships with individuals and potentially profitable businesses to promote the development of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMES).
\n\u2022Compose recommendations and submissions to the General Manager to be presented to EXCO to finance and support ESD initiatives.
\n\u2022Ensure all ESD initiatives are aligned to the Group\u2019s business strategy, B-BBEE codes of good practice and related legislation.
\n\u2022Develop ESD initiatives to increase participation of the historically disadvantaged in procurement opportunities with approval of General Manager.
\n\u2022Develop ESD initiatives to promote skills transfer and training of the historically disadvantaged to enhance the Group\u2019s service offering and to boost local economies with approval of General Manager.
\nHuman Resources:
\n\u2022Manage the departmental team in the achievement of set objectives and targets.
\n\u2022Determine the Human Resources requirements, permanent and contractors, in accordance with the expected deliveries.
\n\u2022Secure the Human Resource requirements to ensure that deliverables will be met in accordance with the expected targets.
\n\u2022Track and monitor performance in accordance with policies and procedures and performance planning documentation.
\n\u2022Continuously provide feedback and coaching to ensure that the staff member\/ s perform at optimum productivity level.
\n\u2022Ensure identification of critical skills essential for sustainability of service delivery and the development of succession plans.
\nFinancial:
\n\u2022Provide appropriate information to feed into the annual budget process and identify any and all costs within the area of functional responsibility to General Manager.
\n\u2022Determine financial allocations in accordance with deliverables.
\n\u2022Compile a comprehensive budget indicating the financial requirement of each element in the social programs.
\n\u2022Monitor the expenditure against the budget and ensure that spending occurs within the budgetary restrictions.
\n\u2022Receive and analyse the monthly financial statements to enable reporting.
\nCompile monthly reports indicating:
\n\u2022Monthly expenditure.
\n\u2022Program objectives achieved.
\n\u2022Exposure of programs in the media.
\n\u2022Planned activities for the coming months.
