The Senior IT Manager role is responsible for the management and monitoring of IT activities and

\nEngages in IT Strategy
\n.In liaison with the IT Executive, Play the lead role in developing and implementing the 1 \u2013 3 Year
\nIT Infrastructure and Operations Strategy.
\n. Drive the Adoption of ITIL processes within the IT Team
\n. Propose and implements strategic initiatives in an effort to improve business operations,
\nefficiency and profitability.<\/p>\n
\nImprove Existing Operations:<\/strong>
\n. Develop and maintain an accurate asset register for all IT Assets including Licencing.
\n. Develop and Implement IT Infrastructure and Operational standards through engagement with
\nrelevant specialist to develop server, storage, network and Security standards and ensure
\ncompliance.
\n. Develop and Implement a Server, Storage and Network monitoring strategy, which provides
\nproactive monitoring and alerting for all systems.
\n. Monitor and report on progress against operational plan and make adjustment where required.
\n.Ensure relevant support and delivery by the IT team in accordance with business requirements
\nand agreed SLA\u2019s.
\n.Be accountable for the quality of Service and performance; ensuring future
\ndemand from growth and projects is understood and factored into capacity plans
\nfor all associated resources (People \/ Technology)
\n. Contribute to organisational effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and ensuring the
\neffective implementation of information technology solutions.
\n. Monitor, control and support service delivery; ensuring systems, methodologies and
\nprocedures are in place and followed<\/p>\n
\n. Develop a Matrix of all Vendors, Services, Costs and contractual obligations with the inclusion of
\na criticality matrix
\n. Develop, Agree and report on Vendor SLA\u2019s
\n. Direct, coordinate and monitor the activities of various vendors responsible for delivering against
\nsupport activities, projects and preventative maintenance plans.
\n. Hold regular vendor service review sessions and provide monthly feedback to the IT Executive
\n. Ensure Vendor costs are managed and reported on Monthly with a long-term view of budgeting
\nand cost saving initiatives.
\nProcess, Sustainability, Governance & Risk Management
\n. Development of Standard Operating Procedures
\n. Ensure Development and Compliance to Bayport IT DR & Backup Policy
\n. Ensure Patch Management activities are carried out on a monthly schedule
\n. Ensure compliance to agree IT Security policies (Logical Access, Active Directory, Exchange,
\nWindows, and Anti-virus etc.)
\n. Ensure compliance to (ITIL) Incident, Problem, Change & Asset management policies and
\nframeworks.
\n. Contribute to the IT Operational Risk register and development of Risk mitigation strategies.
\nDevelops and oversees an effective communications strategy and plan
\n. Stakeholder communications and relationship management.
\n. Facilitates and attends planning and engagement sessions with relevant stakeholders. (Meetings,
\nbrainstorms, discussions, status meetings, etc.)
\n. Prioritises key deliverables and projects, and ensures optimum delivery of projects and
\ndeliverables.
\nTakes ownership and accountability for projects, deliverables and activities and ensure delivery
\naccording to set timelines, objectives and budgets.
\n. Manages both internal and external stakeholder communications within Bayport.<\/p>\n
\n. Development of a yearly IT Budget meeting both Capex and Opex needs of the department in
\nconjunction with IT Management.
\nManages the IT Infrastructure and Operations budget with monthly spend and forecast reporting
\n. Ensures spend efficiency by ensuring maximum value realisation
\n. Continually assesses and evaluates expenses to keep costs in line with budgets and forecasts
\nEnsures accurate reporting
\n. Provides a full review Monthly of the last Month in terms of the following:
\na. Incident Management Reports showing SLA compliance per Criticality, Service and
\nTechnician
\nb. System Uptime reports showing a rolling 6 Month availability report including remedial
\nactivities.
\nc. Vendor Management Reports including Service Review outcomes and actions
\nd. Projects, initiatives and Activities
\ne. Risk Management Dashboard and Compliance state
\nf. Quarterly team KPI and PDP reports<\/p>\n
\nManages and develops the team:<\/strong>
\n. Oversees the department and provides necessary technical support to all direct reports.
\nEnsures adequate morale and motivation to achieve set objectives.
\n. Implement and manage workforce planning, recruitment, learning and development, performance
\nmanagement, reward and recognition and employee relations to ensure an optimal working
\nenvironment
\n. Introduces key performance management indicators for all direct reports in line with the Bayport
\nStrategic initiatives.
\n. Informally and formally evaluates all direct reports.
\n. Prepares and conducts periodic formal performance evaluations of these staff in line with the
\nHuman Resources Management Policies and Procedures.
\n. Regularly reviews, monitors and ensures that there is an adequate number of staff at all times to
\nfulfil the strategic objectives.
\n. Identifies internal and external training opportunities and matches them with the training needs
\nidentified.
\n. Mentors and directs direct reports.
\n. Executes all tasks and projects with initiative, drive, passion and objectivity.

\nAt least Five years\u2019 experience in a IT Management Role
