Job Title: IT Infrastructure Manager (Cyber)<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers (primarily cloud based), VPN’s and hardware. This includes internal systems, publicly facing assets as well as interesting hardware.<\/p>\n Manage, support, coordinate, and coach a small team of in-country IT support staff.<\/p>\n Manage and maintain cloud workloads and cost-effectiveness in AWS (and other cloud environments as needed).<\/p>\n Maintain and support Software-as-a-Service subscriptions and licensing such as GitHub, Mailgun, Duo and more.<\/p>\n Use Infrastructure-as-Code technologies to ensure infrastructure predictability and maintenance.<\/p>\n Research and evaluate emerging tech, software, and hardware.<\/p>\n Plan, research, schedule, and deliver on longer-term IT projects.<\/p>\n Handle the annual IT budget and ensure cost effectiveness.<\/p>\n Track and maintain software and hardware inventory and procurement.<\/p>\n Develop, maintain, and execute disaster recovery procedures as well as backups.<\/p>\n Maintain and review continuous security scans, remediate findings, and support annual external penetration tests.<\/p>\n Support and guide escalated IT support tickets.<\/p>\n Manage IT office equipment such as wireless access points, printers, etc. for all South African client offices.<\/p>\n Manage alignment with Central IT services and clients.<\/p>\n Skills and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n Excellent Linux systems administration experience using a variety of Linux distributions.<\/p>\n Computer networking experience supporting Cloud Virtual Private Networks (IPv4 and IPv6), container networks (CNI) and or other network stacks both in a traditional LAN\/WAN and a Cloud context.<\/p>\n Experience with infrastructure \/ configuration automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer etc.<\/p>\n Experience using Git for version control.<\/p>\n Experience in maintaining, building, and automating multi-account cloud environments using AWS.<\/p>\n Tenacity to work in a highly technical environment (often with some ambiguity), with a primarily technical staff complement to support.<\/p>\n Great scripting ability using languages such as Bash or Python.<\/p>\n Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.<\/p>\n Supervisory Requirements and Reporting Lines<\/p>\n The IT Infrastructure Manager reports to the CTO.<\/p>\n The IT Infrastructure Manager has a dotted reporting line to client Group IT.<\/p>\n The client IT team reports into the IT Infrastructure Manager.<\/p>\n Desired Experience & Qualification:<\/strong> Information Technology \/ Information Systems related degree, and\/or relevant experience.<\/p>\n Industry certifications, ideally for AWS.<\/p>\n
