Our client, from the manufacturing industry seeks qualified person to fill in the position of Service Domain Lead – Network in the Group Information Technology Team based at the Group Head Office in Durban. Reporting to the Technology Services Operations Manager, the successful incumbent will be responsible for recommending and implementing network domain strategy, architecture and standards as well as proactively managing the day-to-day delivery of the contracted services for Illovo\u2019s global network to support the achievement of service level agreements.<\/p>\n

\n\uf0b7 Manages security requirements for Networks and Firewalls
\n\uf0b7 Manages services to agreed Service Level Agreements that meet business needs
\n\uf0b7 Manages services to agreed Service Level Requirements for new services for both business and supplier
\n\uf0b7 Ensures the effective implementation of technology standards in the Network and Telecoms environment
\n\uf0b7 Identifies and implements the various component parts necessary to deliver the services through Operating Level Agreements
\n\uf0b7 Manages services to the agreed Operational Level Agreements with suppliers
\n\uf0b7 Manages the day-to-day delivery of the contracted services, ensure quality of delivery and address service failures
\n\uf0b7 Co-ordinates, directs and evaluates the operations of the data voice and video network(s)
\n\uf0b7 Ensures network performance through the monitoring traffic, performance, and network configuration
\n\uf0b7 Provides incident and problems management services for the internal and external clients
\n\uf0b7 Oversees the effective resolution of incidents
\n\uf0b7 Drives continuous service improvement(s) to maximise the effectiveness and quality of Network services
\n\uf0b7 Designs and sources cloud ready network capabilities.<\/p>\n
\nSPECIFICATIONS:<\/strong>
\n\uf0b7 Technical Bachelor\u2019s Degree or relevant IT qualification
\n\uf0b7 ITIL (Service Management Certificate) qualified (preferred)
\n\uf0b7 5-7 years\u2019 experience managing global network services at large, complex, global organisations
\n\uf0b7 Sound experience in leading network service management teams, internal and 3rd parties
\n\uf0b7 Experience working in a multi-vendor IS sourcing environment
\n\uf0b7 Good knowledge and understanding of Network & Telecoms technology areas (within projects and operations)
\n\uf0b7 Knowledge of networking protocols and architectures
\n\uf0b7 Experience working with Telco providers
\n\uf0b7 Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), and a proven track record in building and maintaining effective relationships
\n\uf0b7 Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
\n\uf0b7 Effective people management skills
\n\uf0b7 Proven ability to operate independently as a self-starter, and as an effective team player
\n\uf0b7 Above average proficiency in MS office
\n\uf0b7 Willingness to travel into all areas of operation, within and outside South Africa as required.<\/p>\n
