The Head of Projects will be an exceptional hands-on Project Manager and have strong management and leadership skills as the Head of the Project management team.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities will include; being a point of escalation, helping to mitigate project risks, actively managing own project portfolio, engaging with suppliers and partners to ensure the smooth project delivery, helping to build key, long lasting relationships and escalating and promptly resolving any service affecting issues which may arise.<\/p>\n

\nRelevant Degree

\nMinimum of 5 years management of projects and project teams
\nShould be from a Telco environment. LAN & Cisco WAN skills and knowledge & Cisco routing and switching knowledge mandatory.
\nWorked on projects in heterogenous technical and telco environments. Worked with multicultural and diverse teams across Africa \/ other geographic regions.
\nExperienced in influencing at senior stakeholder level with decision makers and directors. Effective collaborative working at a senior level, at times assisting and working alongside the VP.
\nAble to build strong relationships and credibility with customers and both internally and externally<\/p>\n
\nMust be willing to work weekends shifts on a monthly basis or after hours<\/p>\n
\nMANAGE PROJECTS:<\/strong>

\nEnsure adherence to agreed project management methodology
\nManage the execution of strategic projects or programs
\nMitigate \/ remove blockage that prevent the Projects team successfully completing their jobs
\nSetup a project communication strategy
\nEnsure the provisioning and administration is well controlled
\nAdhere to commercial governance in all activities
\nDevelop and implement business processes and procedures<\/p>\n

\nBuild strong relationships and credibility with customers, internally and external
\nProvide feedback regarding project or program status
\nHandle and resolve escalations<\/p>\n
