\nA leading engineering and manufacturing company in South Africa\/Africa dealing with infrastructural products and belonging to a reputable market leader requires Quality Assures that are strong at problem solving and have good attention to detail. The successful candidate would be placed on a semi-structured development programme to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and practical experience to effectively lead and manage a Business Unit. The Business Manager would initially be based in Gauteng West and thereafter deployed to the relevant Business Units most applicable to the required area of training focus before final placement as Business Manager.
\nThe successful candidate must have:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Matric with mathematics plus quality \/ Engineering related post matric Certificate
\n\u2022 National Diploma \/ BTech in Civil Engineering would be an advantage
\n\u2022 Computer Literacy (MS Office)
\n\u2022 Valid Drivers Licence
\n\u2022 Concrete practice with +\/- 3 years of previous inspection and Testing experience in concrete manufacturing and 5+ year experience in quality Assurance
\n\u2022 Receptive to rotate within regions for development purposes
\n\u2022 Ability to work some shift and Weekends<\/p>\n
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
\n\u2022 Supervise and coordinate activities of personal engaged in performance all inspections and tests required for tge quality assurance and control of products
\n\u2022 Interact with production and quality assistants to ensure all related quality checks are met on the production floor
\n\u2022 Monitor and review performance of Quality Department objectives during quality meetings
\n\u2022 Present quality results in production meeting
\n\u2022 Provides support to the production department in trouble shooting product quality deficiencies. And work with technical resources and plant management resourses to identify the root case and eliminate recurring quality problems
\n\u2022 Educate plant personnel on the production quality requirements, including record keeping, laboratory execution work and product grading
\n\u2022 Partner with the Business Manager to assure that proper follow up is performed on all customer and regulatory issues, and that the plant is prepared for customer and regulatory inspections and product recalls.
\n\u2022 Review quality documents, and report the need for changers
\n\u2022 Facilitate 2nd, 3rd party and regulatory audits as needed
\n\u2022 Plan and perform process and procedural audits
\n\u2022 Assist with the Investigation and resolution of product quality customer complaint
\n\u2022 Provide annual quality compliance training and quality assistant training
\n\u2022 Execute hold programme for all faculty raw materials and Finished goods
\n\u2022 Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and necessary
\n\u2022 Maintain accurate and precise records (includes inspections and test records, computer files, graphs and control programs)Work in safe manner and be aware of potential safety hazards in the lab and workplace
\n\u2022 Ensure Lab instrumentation calibration and checks are planned and executed according to requirements
\n\u2022 Possess the ability to work with and manage the function and quality assistant personnel
\n\u2022 Provide expertise and leadership in the maintenance of Quality Management System
\n\u2022 Internal Auditing skills \u2013 advantage
\n\u2022 Knowledge of ISO9001: 2008 requirements
