\nDuties & Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nTo ensure timely and cost effective contracting for services critical to Cell C\u2019s operations. The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for working with internal and external customers to identify and execute sourcing solutions to drive down the Total Cost of Ownership on identified categories, conduct vendor and contract management, supplier relationship management and develop recommendations for managing procurement processes and spending
\nAssess Requisitions
\nAssess and action approved requisitions received.
\nEnsure services or goods requisitioned are properly accounted for, identified and described, includes analysing, auditing and reviewing requirements and vendor information for clarity \/ accuracy.
\nEnsure requisitions and vendor supporting documents comply with established company policy and procedures.
\nUnderstand strategies for assigned commodities and proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing objectives.
\nVendor Selection Process.
\nInitiate requests for quotations (RFQs) with prospective vendors.
\nAssist in the vendor selection process.
\nContact potential vendors to ascertain availability and price of products \/ service.
\nInvestigate prospective vendors by reviewing published financial reports, and contacting various government agencies and vendor\u2019s past clients to document \/ verify the quality of vendor\u2019s past work performance.
\nRecommend prospective vendors after examining the agreed selection criteria.
\nManage vendor requests
\nInitiate requests for proposals (RFPs) with prospective vendors.
\nAnalyse proposals to ascertain price and availability of service, schedules and lead times, applying basic contract law.
\nProvide support on contracts and procurement services
\nEnsure that these contacts are not construed as commitments by the Company to contract.
\nAssist in proposal evaluation by developing and preparing computer generated spreadsheets.
\nDevelop and formulate RFPs by gathering, categorising, and putting into contract form pertinent contract information.
\nAssist end users in clarifying terms and conditions specified on various contract documents.
\nProvide on-going contracts and procurement services support to the internal client.
\nObtain the lowest cost of ownership for commodities \/ services under his\/her control
\nResearch, recommend and implement appropriate procurement strategies per commodity \/ service.
\nPrepare tenders, negotiate with suppliers and prepare contracts
\nTender preparation, evaluation and negotiation as applicable and based on price, quality, service support, availability, reliability and selection together with cross functional team and make recommendations to senior and executive Management.
\nLead supplier negotiations. Realise substantial savings on all projects.
\nExecute new contracts and manage the performance of vendors
\nPrepare contract documents and liaise with vendors and end users, financial control and Legal in execution of a contract. Administration and maintenance (renewals) of these contracts.
\nNegotiate and execute new contracts and changes to existing agreements, with acceptable commercial risks that increase Cell C\u2019s profits. Includes extending, renegotiating and terminating contracts.
\nActively monitor and manage the performance of vendors in terms of contractual compliance and deliverables.
\nMaintain and improve yearly Customer Service Survey rating.
\nInitiate appropriate action to resolve supplier invoice discrepancies. Involves working jointly with requestors, Accounts Payable and vendors to investigate and resolve disputes.
\nUse computer-based systems to execute \/ monitor contracts and update vendor files. Ensure that inputs into the system are accurate and timely. Instruct \/ assist end users in the proper use of the computer-based contract data base, to enable them to access applicable contract information.
\nManage key supplier relationships
\nHealth and Safety Compliance.
\nAdhere to Safety, Health and Environmental legislative requirements.
\nReport any health and safety concerns\/incidents in the workplace to the manager \/ health and safety representative.
\nEnsure appointed vendors comply with all Health and Safety requirements.
\nAssist Cell C to establish and maintain a fully compliant Healthy and Safe Work Environment.
\nAttend the Safety, Health and Environmental workshops as required by management.
\nPerform any related duties as requested by Management.
\nAttend weekly management meetings to provide project feedback.
\nUpdate weekly and monthly reports.
\nAttend monthly KPI meetings with Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager to review performance.
\nForm and manage Cross-Functional Sourcing Teams throughout a tender process.
\nDevelop and implement cost reduction strategies.<\/p>\n
