\nHigh Level design IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport network
\nLow Level design for IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport network.
\nIP\/MPLS and Mobile Backhaul capacity planning requirements
\nPlan and test redundancy and diversity of IP MPLS & Mobile Backhaul and international Transport networks.
\nMeasure IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport network quality and performance and develop performance indicators
\nMaintain IP MPLS & MBT and international Transport network capacity and performance within network KPI\u2019s
\nProvide regular capacity forecasts and strategic network master plans
\nIntroduce new IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport features or parameters into the network
\nMaintain grade of service within network KPI\u2019s
\nPlan the hand over to the operations department for implementation
\nEnsure the constant optimisation of the Infrastructure.
\nEnsure best practise planning methodologies are used for optimal network design.
\nNotify senior management in advance of \u201cend of life equipment\u201d and necessary steps to safeguard operations.<\/p>\n
\nEnsure regular technology evaluations and pilots where appropriate.
\nResearch new technology and trends within IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport Networks
\nEnsure knowledge transfer to the operations sections.
\nDefine the engineering requirements for the new elements that will be added to the existing IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport Network.
\nDevise the planning strategy for the evolution of the IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport network
\nStrategically identify and recommend the procurement of new and or upgraded technology to support the organizational network strategy
\nAssist the RFP department with the Evaluation of the cost implications of the new technology elements.
\nPlan the technology trials and ensure the correct usage of the technology to evaluate the outcome of such trials.
\nInvestigate, evaluate and request the procurement of tools for supporting any IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN Transport planning initiatives.
\nPlan ROI of all new IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN Transport elements to company standards
\nReport generation
\nProvide reports to the business on the Performance and Quality of the radio network
\nReport on improvements
\nSubmit information for the Board Report
\nCompile problems encountered reports
\nResearch and submit special reports when required
\nWeekly Capacity and utilization reporting
\nWeekly network health report
\nQuarterly diversity\/redundancy testing
\nWeekly update on IP MPLS & MBT and international Transport
\nBusiness continuity
\nInterface with the business continuity management and risk management departments to create and constantly review DR \/ BC plans for the network.
\nAct as an advisor to the Data Networks, IN and BSS teams for DR \/ BC related to IP MPLS & MBT\/CTN and international Transport.
\nImplement all required DR \/ BC procedures.
\nVendor Management
\nManage the vendors performance based on contractual obligations and drive the vendors\u2019 performance to achieve the target
\nMonitor and report on vendors performance at a working and functional level
\nDrive the vendors to perform the functional roles based on agreed scope of agreements and drive for efficiency
\nProvide performance feedback and drive improvements
\nBuild relationships where value can be maximised
\nProvide day-to-day management of vendors performance
\nProvide initial point of escalations for management
\nCarry and champion the business needs and targets to ensure the vendors to perform
\nResolve technical disputes with the vendor
\nPerform any other related duties as requested by management<\/p>\n
\nMinimum Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nHuawei Certified ICT Expert (HCIE) or Cisco Certified Internetwork expert (CCIE) is essential
\nExperience
\nMinimum 6 years\u2019 experience in IP MPLS & Mobile Backhaul Transport planning and engineering
\nIn depth knowledge and understanding of Cisco, Huawei and ZTE Router and switches, BRAS and Microwave IP planning and ISP environment
\nIn depth knowledge of IP, Routing and Switching, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN
\nKnowledge of GPRS, EDGE, 3G and LTE principles and architecture.
\nKnowledge of mobile network architecture and Mobile telecommunication voice and data services including RAN, Core and Billing.
\nBasic Knowledge of new technologies like FTTH, Wifi, SDN and 5G<\/p>\n
