\nDuties & Responsibilities:<\/strong>
\nEnsure day-to-day monitoring and performance of infrastructure components including servers, PCs, network, backups, and other infrastructure components at branches
\nSupport the Microsoft Environments
\nSupport the Google Workspace Environments
\nSupport of in house Firewalls with ISP\u2019s
\nSupport and manage Network and IT security
\nEstablish and manage relationships with external IT Support
\nEnsure optimal uptime of the IT infrastructure at all branches
\nEnsure proactive preventive maintenance of laptops and desktop computers.
\nPlan and manage hardware replacement lifecycle
\nManage and support Windows Desktop and laptop Infrastructure
\nManage and support Remote access and VPN for users
\nManage and support all email services
\nManaged Switches, VoIP telephony, and CCTV systems
\nEnsure monitoring and management of UPS, and alternate power systems
\nEnsure procedure documents and training material is up to date
\nEnsure Asset registers are in place and up to date
\nImplementing new hardware, infrastructure components, and technologies
\nCompile monthly reports
\nBe available on standby for after-hours support when necessary
\nEffectively manage support calls on a daily basis by providing continual feedback and timeous resolutions<\/p>\n
\nDegree or 3-year diploma in Information Technology preferred
\nInternationally certified A+ and Network+
\nInternationally certified Microsoft Desktop and Server qualifications
\nGoogle Workspace Certifications advantageous
\nSkills Required
\nMinimum of 3 – 5 years in a IT support role with related experience
\nSolid experience in:
\nMicrosoft software
\nGoogle Workspace
\nFirewalling and Network Configuration (WAN\/LAN)
\nAnti-Virus\/Ransomware, device encryption etc.
\nPABX, Voice and SIP product and setup
\nProject planning and implementation
\nHardware, and software troubleshooting process. Ability to critically analyse a symptom, diagnose a fault, plan and take appropriate action on equipment including PCs, Laptops printers, and networking.
\nKnowledge of hardware components and hardware troubleshooting procedures
\nKnowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and desktop software
\nComplete knowledge of TCP\/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP\/s, FTP
\nAbility to work independently and in a team
\nDeadline driven and able to work under pressure
\nExcellent problem solving skills
\nExcellent planning and organisational skills
\nExcellent verbal and written communication<\/p>\n
