Hambisana is an expanding IT Support organisation that is looking for a Technical Support Engineer at their offices in Centurion (and roaming to various clients).<\/p>\n

Job Title: IT Support Technician – Cape Town<\/strong> Duties & Responsibilities:<\/strong> The role of Technical Support Engineer is divided into the following areas of responsibility:<\/p>\n Provide general desktop support. OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL:<\/strong> Required technical skills:<\/strong> Analytical thinking.
\nLocation:<\/strong> Town and surrounding areas<\/p>\n
\nPrimary Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nFast and effective problem resolution.
\nMonitor Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, SQL infrastructure & others.
\nContinually review the IT software \/ hardware infrastructure to ensure robustness and efficiency.
\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues.
\nInvestigate and implement automated processes.
\nIdentify system \/ service bottlenecks and \/ or single-points-of-failure and develop solutions to overcome them.
\nManage backups and tape rotation.
\nExchange Server (and other) mailbox maintenance.
\nIdentify and ensure technology assets are documented and mapped out correctly.
\nEnsure maintenance schedules are maintained and contribute to the overall health of the system.
\nLiaise with all company personnel regarding IT issues.
\nSetup and configure new laptops \/ desktops.
\nEnsure security patches and upgrades are applied and kept up to date.
\nComplete internal user moves including phones.
\nInstall and configure systems and applications in support of daily operations.<\/p>\n
\nDesired Experience & Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nTraining in Information Technology, Computer Science or other relevant field
\n5+ Years experience
\nExperience in or exposure to a client\/people facing role specifically technical support
\nAmenable to a flexible work schedule, as the need arises.
\nPreferably certification on the following:
\nA+ & N+
\nMicrosoft 365
\nMS Windows Servers (MCSE)
\nOther training is a plus
\nSoft skills<\/p>\n
\nGood communication skills, both verbal and written.
\nSelf-driven to achieve goals, both immediate or more long term.<\/p>\n
