Job Title: Splicer<\/strong> Job Summary:<\/strong> \u2022 Splicing of active and passive fibre networks. \u2022 Identify breaks and weak spots in the network seen as high-risk factors. \u2022 Remediate cutting over of cables and\/or cutting over to new joints. \u2022 Maintain short timelines between temporary and permanent repairs. \u2022 Resolve all breaks in the designated areas. \u2022 Maintain handle and route daily, which could include cleaning, numbering, slack management, and labelling<\/p>\n Desired Experience & Qualification:<\/strong> – \u2022 Related training and experience with Fibre Optics. \u2022 Good communication skills. \u2022 Ready to learn and work independently. \u2022 Problem solving skills. \u2022 Ability to read and troubleshoot complex diagrams. \u2022 At least 3 years technical experience or technical experience within a telecommunications environment. \u2022 1-year technical experience in an optical fibre environment would be advantageous. \u2022 Advanced experience in splicing in complex network environments. \u2022 Valid drivers\u2019 license. \u2022 Strong analytical ability. \u2022 Ability to work well under pressure to achieve goals and targets. \u2022 Self-motivation and a strong sense of achievement to take ownership of a network is of utmost importance.<\/p>\n
